I just have to think you do not know there is no such thing as a engine rebuild kit for the Nissan 300zx and did you know turbos might cost as much as a engine? Chevy and Ford Engine Kits are available but you start working on a four camshaft 24 valve engine that is as complex as a Z good luck. High mile 1991 300 ZX lets say you can have one cheep $5,000 then $2,900 for a JDM low miles engine and clip from a twin turbo japan spec that will save you thousands. Now you will need a Nissan Master technician good on old Z cars to install the parts. I am just finishing up a 300zx 2+2 to twin turbo conversion

No

The engine rebuild kit may be cheap, but the labor is a killer.

If you do it yourself you're facing down a learning curve that could pan out, but probably won't.

Do it only if you absolutely, positively must have the car.

If you have the hots for that particular car, and your passion won't let you buy anything else, that's the only conditions under which you should tackle such a major project.

Prepare to spend a fortune if you ever need to have any work done on an Audi. Parts are also incredibly expensive and the car is not cheap to own at all. If you really want an Audi and don't mind paying a fortune for maintenance, go for it. Otherwise get a Japanese import or American car.
