Here in Russia we need to present our passports in order to buy tickets on airplanes and trains. For example, I can't buy ticket for my friend.

Are americans need to do this too?

Here in Russia we have several kinds of gasoline, marked with so called 'octane level' number. The most common is 95th gasoline. It is used for mid-priced common cars. 98th used for expesive cars and 92nd and less used for cheap ones.

Is this corresponds somehow with gasoline marks in USA? Which marks are common there?

Thnks.

My father recently passed and my car was in his name. The policy the car is on is still good for another year and i am a listed driver. If i were to have the title of the car transferred into my name would that void the current policy or would it not affect it?

Engine construction is exactly the same ie. pistons, rings, valves, injectors etc. the only difference is the fuel intake, so what exactly creates the louder mechanical noise.

I have a Sentra ga16DE, had quite few problems recently. Big one is this... Occasionally driving along a motorway at 100km/hr or 3000rpm the car judders and it feels like the engine has lost power but the revs remain the same. Pressing the accelerator does nothing. 3-5 seconds later the car lurches forward and all normal functions are returned even if I do nothing. This only happens in fifth gear some times a couple of days apart, other times a month or so apart. I have replaced everything to do with the fuel system with the correct parts.

My car has an automatic transmission, are they any benefits of applying the parking brake while parked? I heard it enables your back brakes to last longer if you use your parking brake.

I am fuming. I was standing waiting to cross the road when a bus pulled upto park, he wasn't picking up passengers he just parked the f***ing thing. I don't normally confront people but this was dangerous as he had blocked my vision so i couldn't see the cars coming behind him, when i asked him "how the hell am i supposed to cross the road now" he told me to go and find a pelican crossing, so i told him to p*** off. i don't feel very proud of myself for loosing my temper but i did feel like hitting him. I am still shaking with the rage. Now i am going to report him but what good will that do?

I have a 1994 Dodge Ram 1500, and just the other day i was driving home and saw my RPM jump to about 3000 (was running at only about 1500 - 2000 before that). I didnt think anything of it. About a mile up the road it happened again, but this time i could not accelerate (like i was trying to drive in neutral) Occasionally the engine would connect with the transmission and i could drive a few feet before it would disconnect again. I just parked it out in a parking lot until i could get it going enough to make it home.

Now when i start the truck (while its cold) everything seems to run fine, but as soon as it gets a little warm there is a loud grinding noise (like the gears on a diesel engine) that comes from the transmission. Is it possible that this sound is actually coming from the torque converter (maybe the stator's clutch went out??) It also whines as i accelerate relative to the RPM

(fluid has been checked and is good and full).....

Thank you very much for your answers.

A 2 wheel drive car is cheaper than a 4 wheel drive car. Is it smart to buy a 2 wheel drive car just to save some money? How much better is a 4 wheel drive car vs a 2 wheel drive car?

Do rates change enough to give up benifits of being with a carrier for several years(7). I have no claims or at fault accidents and no tickets. But need a good insurer that will pay and be around if something were to happen. Live in WI and pretty small town. Reccomendations?

When it comes to buying Insurance for that very expensive Car or House they go for the cheapest.Beleiving that in the event of a claim they will be paid out.But the same people go into a Supermarket and buy a tin of a regular brand beans for 35p,but ignore the stores own brand (most likely supplied by a multiple) at 16p.

Man i love them both!! but which one would you prefer?? FOr azera, you can buy the Limited version with full option for just 30,000 and it includes all the high tech which should be like $40,000 or more. And same as c-class, but i think Mercedes and other company try to copy what hyundai is doing, (most safety features comes standard??) i mean do they really need to do that?? anyways ...

Im just wondering what would be the sign that i need to have my spark plugs changed. My car is a 99 pontiac grand am, and sometimes it doesn't start right away, I am guessing it is a sensor problem, but today i tried to start it, and it i guess kind of sounded like the gas and everything was going through, but it wouldn't start. then i tried again and it started... then i turned it off to make sure it would start again, and it did, so i tried one more time just to make sure, and then of course it didn't start. anybody have and ideas on what it could be??? Please help. I don't have a lot of money to take it in and have somebody trouble shoot.
