SR22 just means you goofed and let your insurance lapse. You have to carry the SR22 with you for (usually) 3 years as a slap on the wrist. As long as you are re-insured and you have no other restrictions on your actual drivers license, the SR22 has nothing to do with who you can have as a passenger..unless there is more you are not saying, like your insurance company restricted you. You would know - they spell it out real good - read everything you got in the mail.

It might depend upon your states laws regarding the SR22. My daughter had one but didn't have a car but she(her license) was still insured to drive. I would call your insurance company and ask an agent as sometimes the policy is hard to understand.

if you have a non owners sr22 filing the sr22 insurance normally will not cover any vehicle that is provided for your regular use, in the household, or used during the course of employment.

yes you can.
your sr22 will follow you around. its added insurance that you will carry liability, usually 3 years.
but if you are using the family car regularly you need to be listed, and being you are already in a position that you have to carry that sr22, your family's policy cost will jump thru the roof.
but if you mean, can you borrow their car then yes.

The answer lies in both YOUR policy and that of the family member. You won't get a clear answer here, because we won't know what that policy says and they vary by the insurance carrier.

The SR52 just identifies the manner in which you obtained the insurance as my memory serves.

go read your policy or call your broker... its as easy as that.
