What part of side*WALK* do you not understand? Regardless of the law, please try to exercise some common courtesy.
AD: Yeah that is right, even bicycles are illegal to ride on the sidewalk in my home state, so certainly if you lived here you would be cited, towed, and impounded into police storage.
AAD: You have had four days to think about it, yet you still refuse to reveal to us your jurisdiction. So the best answer I can give you, is generally speaking. In general, dirt bikes are restricted to dirt, that is off-road recreation areas. In general, the shoulder of a roadway or designated bike lane is reserved for bicycles and smaller mopeds and scooters. In general, the roadway itself is reserved for the larger, *titled* vehicles. And generally speaking of course, sidewalks are reserved for pedestrians. It appears that you fall under the dirt trails and off-road use category. Your state may or may not also require some type of permit or registration, and therefore you may still be illegal if you do not follow the law.
*/End of Line.

No dude, I wish I can ride my 4 wheeler or dirt bike on the road or the side walk, either would be cool. However, if your a good rider and you no how to dip than you could get away with it , I have a couple of times. I'm not trying to encourage it, or condone it, in anyway shape our form. Because if you do get caught they'll probably tow your bike away, and if the cop who stops isn't that friendly then you're probably going to spend the night in jail. I don't think you can ride any cc on the sidewalks our the streets. I had a little 30cc scooter and I used to ride it up and down the street and I got in trouble because I was young and did not have a license.

The correct name of a side walk is a pedestrian walk way. Right there you should come to some sort of conclusion to your question. Dirt bikes are not legal on bike paths. This is true in all 50 states unless posted to the contrary.

Yes it is illegal to ride a dirt bike on the side walk. If it has lights and signals you can ride it on the street legally but not a sidewalk.

Sidewalk use laws differ from place to place. But I would bet good money that riding a dirt bike on a public sidewalk is illegal anywhere.
Where I live you can ride dirt bikes on the roads if they have proper equipment and are licenced.
Also, where I live you can ride things like go-peds, tiny skooters, segways, and bicycles on the sidewalks.

It's illegal, dangerous, stupid, immature, and silly. By the very fact that you ask a question like that, I question your judgement to ride a motorbike in the first place. Sidewalks are for pedestrians--not even bicycles. Even if it was not against the law, you could still hurt someone. You could for example startle an elderly person. They have brittle bones, and get fractures (especially broken hips) from trivial causes.
We have too many laws, made necessary because neither common courtesy nor common sense is very common.
