Well, my mom is gonna get a new used car. And she is stuck between two.

Car #1- 2007 Ford Focus:

The ford focus is a green color that my mom really likes, it is very new-it only has 3,000 miles on it. The seats in the back are very comfortable with a lot of leg room. It has a Cd player. Lots of trunk room.
Cost: 14,599

Car #2- 2003 Chevy Malibu:
Ok this car is white. It only has 1,000 miles on it, but it IS an older car. It has a lot of leg room in the back, but the seats are kinda leaned back so it makes you feel like your slouching, There is no way of ajusting the back seats. It also has a CD player. I dont know how big the trunk is.
Cost: 12, 599

if you have one of these cars, is it reliable? If not, whcich one do you think sounds better? Do you know if Chevy or ford is more reliable? My mom wants the car to last a while.

The boat has been abandoned at a local boat store here, and the owner of the shop is tired of it being in his parking lot and offered to give it to my husband for free. They have taken the registration numbers and looked up the owner and tried to contact him, but they can't find the owner anywhere. How could we go about legally claiming this boat and getting it registered and changed to our name.

I'm 16 (almost 17) and my parents just bought me a toyota yaris without knowing much about it. I've had my license for almost a year so I'm a pretty decent driver.I assume since it's a toyota, it's reliable, and I know it gets good gas mileage, but how safe is it? I don't know much about cars, but so far all I've driven is a toyota prius. Is the yaris a good car for me? (they already bought it... so theres not much I can do about that)

I don't need a reason, I'm just curious what the overall majority of the people here are thinking.
If you want, you can be specific on model/series number, airline/country/owner, registration, etc.
Go ahead and give me your second favorite too, if you want.
Thanks!

As for me:

Delta Air Lines

#2: McDonnell Douglas MD-88

My husband has an older car and has lost his car keys. It's an older car. Will they have to put in a new ignition or can they make a mold of the key from the ignition? Help!!! We really don't have the money to replace the ignition...

My truck has a 2BBL carb and refuses to idle. Most of the smog stuff has been removed. At night when I drive it and slow down or hit a bump, the headlights flicker. This vehicle is an old Gov. vehcile and from what I can tell, the electrical has been chopped pretty good. The truck has no computer as far as I know.

My 1995 Nissan Maxima has been giving me some issues the past couple days with stalling and struggling to accelerate and hard to turn, as if it is trying to stall out. I took it to the mechanic and they were not able to come up with a solution other than fuel filter, air filter, all 6 spark plugs, dry gas, etc... I took it home and the next day its not stalling, but it is still giving me a hard time with accelerating, going as high as 3500/rpm as I try to accelerate to 60 mph. I am planning on driving my car 1300+ miles to Florida, and would prefer to not buy a new car. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!!!

my brake light keeps coming on, especially when I go uphill, so I'm pretty sure my brake fluid is low. I'm going to check it this evening (when it's not been sitting out in the sweltering heat all day and I'm not going to have to touch a 1000 degree hood to get to it), if it's low, do I just add fluid or do I have to do other things also? (No, I'm not very mechanically inclined, obviously).
It's a 2004 PT Cruiser if that matters.

It's a Pierce built on a 1976 C-900/F-900 chassis. Ford doesn't have it and neither does anywhere else I have checked.

I was travelling in England a few years back, and waiting for a train at Darlington Railway Station (and I might have got this wrong, but I think it's the world's oldest railway station). I was intrigued to see that the toilet still has a chain flush. I've never come across this before, has anyone else? I hope they don't change it.

Simple questions, hopfully cheap and simple answer. It's 47 degree outside I turn on the heater. The two vents on the passenger side blow nice warm air. The two main vents in the center and the one on the driver's side blow cold air. This really sucks since I am the driver. Thank god the heated seats work. Any thoughts?
