Can Audi owners give me some pointers as I want to purchase a pre-owned certified used 2005 Audi A6 3.2 Quattro version? I'm not looking to race, 'fix up', show off. Just a weekend car that is fun to drive and luxury wise. I know they are pretty expensive that is why I want a used model, I've heard they are unreliable but you can't always beleive everything you hear. I have a friend who has an older model and he hardly has any problems with it, get's in and drive.
So any tips to not get screwed at a dealer for a used Audi A6 3.2 Quattro?

All advice is greatly appreciated.

I am a loyal Saturn owner, however I've had some issues with my 2007 Saturn Ion. My car just turn one year old and it's spent 8 weeks at the dealership getting repairs. I'm one away from implying the Lemon Law. The problem is engine misfires. They've replaced the whole top half of my engine and it still misfires. I often sit at my destination waiting for the check engine light to come on before I turn it off. One of the Saturn employees told me that all the Ion's misfire at an Idle. He told me that he has 2 Ion's and they both do it. Does this make it ok? Engine misfires cause problems with your catilack converter, that's an exspensive repair down the line. Any one who's from Ca knows that a bad cat. converter doesn't pass smog. Am I being petty, or should I *****? Does anyone else have engine misfires in their Saturn? Please let me know!

They have stock 16 inch rims. I'm talking about messing up my rear axle, or messing up my speedometer?

When I started my truck up this evening the engine sounded nearly like the muffler was off of it. i was driving it down the road and was thinking why it sounded so rough and loud, and I noticed the lights beginning to flicker a bit on the dash lights and then I noticed the temerature gage was all the way over to Hot as far right as it could go.

I had driven it for 10, maybe 15 minutes by then I pulled over and I noticed , not much but just a bit of smoke coming out of the hood area, it soon stopped.

I called the Auto parts store and spoke with a gentleman there who told me that it was probably my water pump being locked up and not to drive it.

I had a new water pump put on at the Toyota dealership I think last June (not this June of 07 , but the previos June) when I had a new timing belt put on.

I think my engine is non interference, but I was wondering if I did any serious damage or not to it.

I left it there and will have it towed in tommorow to the Toyota dealer

When I am accelerating it starts to pop and sounds kinda like its stalling out but it doesnt, also when I am at a consant speed it also does that. Now when I even start it up I just stalls out and right when I go to start it up, the starter is brand new and I can hear it trying to kick over but it just wont start up. I just had it fixed and my mechanic can't figure out why it is making as he calls it popping. Please help!

The car starts fine, but it won't stay running independently. As soon as I stop revving, either in neutral, park or drive, the car dies. I would like to know what the problem could be so the mechanics don't take me for a ride by telling me I need a new engine or something equally outlandish just because I am a female and don't know any better.
My car is an automatic Nissan Pintara from 1985.

We are going on a 2 week vacation, and both cars will be parked for 2 weeks.
Both batteries are less than a year old, the temp here will be in the -70's during the day, 50's at night, so there would be some condensation,
Fill the tank to the top?
Put some dri-gas in the tank? suggestions, please.

What is a good beginner bike for a first time motorcyclist? I am 5'6" and average body build. I'm looking at bikes, but not sure what I want. I lean more toward naked streets. I'm just looking for suggestions or opinions :) thanks!

I need a good set of offroad tires and a new set of wheels to mount them on. I'll also need to get a 3 inch body lift. I've looked at jc whitney and they dont really have much of a selection so are there any other websites or stores that would have the package deals that would also finance me for all this stuff and cost me somewhere around $1500 or so...?

What is the major difference between forced induction and high compression pistons? In the end, it seems like they both accomplish the same thing. My only guess would be extra power from running leaner and hotter, but that must have a downside as well. Reason I ask...I'll be building a new engine here soon and would like to keep my options open for possible forced induction later on. If I can get the same effect (or close to it) from just high compression pistons, I'll forget about supercharging all together.

OK - I have a 1982 Jeep CJ7 with a Chevy 350. Unknown to me, the oil leaked out and the engine siezed up. I filled it up with oil, let it sit for a couple hours and it does crank up and idles just fine. However, there is a very obvious "knocking" sound coming from the engine. I hope it's not as bad as it sounds, but if anyone can give any ideas as to what may be the problem, please let me know.

My 89 chevy truck has some problems.Tranny always shifted hard and had to be wound out.(Automatic). Torque went out 2 months ago. Had it replaced.Ran again but still shifted funny. Had kick down cable adjusted and shifted fine for two weeks. Went down the road yesterday and when it shifted from second to drive, it slipped and I had no drive. I have all other gears except for drive and overdrive. 700r4 tranny. I can put it in drive to take off, but when it shifts into drive...nothing. Tried adjusting kickdown cable couple different times, and no difference. Minor problem or major?? Please help.

I'm not so sure that I've seen US railfans taking down notes this way? Also I really doubt that the female in the film is actually a railfan, she's likely a film student playing the part. What do you think of the part where they ask strangers what a trainspotter is? Would that be true for American railfans?

Some may disagree, but big cars are safer, little cars are more fuel efficient. I want to stand a chance of walking away if I get hit by a Tahoe, so I prefer a car with a little more girth.
I'm not sure how some of these high mileage, economical, small cars will fare, even with multiple airbags.
I would never forgive myself if something ever happened to my family while driving a tiny car. I choose safety over economy, and cannot justify sacrificing safety for a few dollars in fuel savings. I do want to save the world, also, by using less fuel, but have to be alive to do that.

What do you think?

In manual cars is the 0-60 accurate everytime? I never drove one before, but i was thinking about buying one. Will the time always be the same? LIke switching gears and stuff, don't you have to do it right and no one is perfect, so you know what I mean.
