1. First of all you should see if the rims will "tuck" or sit under your fender wells! And check the overall size of the tire/rim combo. If the tire rim combo is bigger than the 16's it may affect your front end aligntment and possibly even affect the way that your ECU "computer" on your car functions. The way that huge rims are accomplished with no problems is smaller tires...So if you are running thicker tires now you will need to switch over to rubber bands to get the same size rim/tire combo. If you cannot acheive this you may have issues with the alignment and ECU. If this is the case and you are still intent on running these rims on your slab, I would recomend changing the spedometer gear and getting the car re-aligned providing that the rims will fit under the fenderwells and not scrape the fenders when you are turning or hit a bump!

An 18" wheel will not fit the wheel wells on this model car.
You'd have to use a lift kit and make it look like a 4WD in order to fit the wheels. Even if you had a pro shop cut out the wheel wells you couldn't steer it.
It would mess up your speedometer and your driveable safety features (engineering) would be defeated.
Good Luck!

As long as you formulate the size of actual tire, you will have no issues.
The following link will let you size out your current wheel's overall diameter and then you can set up some rubber on your 18"s to match the same overall diameter as the stock wheel. :)

axles, transmissions, brakes, speedometer, steering, suspension, control of the car, handling, ride, drive just about everything on the car, if 18 inch tires would have been better on the car, Chevy would have put them on there first.
