Zurich will not put my newly passed bird on my insurance. its a vectra group 10 ( i know its powerful) but as she is 23 and no driving experience they say no. I asked them if she could ring up direct line or someone and get her own insurance on my car and they said she cant as it's ilegal having 2 seperate policies on one car. So what can i do to insure her to drive my car. Bloody foreign call centres do my head in too. Useless 100%.

Is it the gas tank? The air filter cover? The frame? There are so many motorcycles that look like a Harley. Some even better and cheaper. For example, Independence makes a beautiful bike that uses mostly the same parts. Custom bike builders use the same parts. But what part makes the bike a Harley?

I have a 1998 Chevrolet S10 rear wheel drive with drum brakes on the rear and disc in front. My truck recently failed inspection because I put the rear shoe in the front and the front shoe in the rear the mechanic said. I have taken off my shoes and I can't tell the difference. And I didn't take a picture before removing them. How can you tell which shoe belongs where since they will go on backwards (I assumed they would only go on one way)?

When it started, I found the antifreeze is milky, so, I backwashed the radiator, replaced waterpump, thermostat...ran fine for several days, overheat came back, so, I replaced radiator. Thought it fixed, 6 weeks later, it started overheating again. I checked the antifreeze, clear, the fans are working. I installed a meter, the readout is about 250 when overheated. The compression pressure is 175, 180, 175, 178 pretty good. I love the car and would like to keep it as long as I can, anyone knows what could be wrong?

My friend has a corolla and has opened one of the clips of the air filter lid....the engine sound is much lower and he claims that it gives him better performance. By opening the clip, will the engine be damaged in any way?

Two and a half years ago I blindly bought my first car, a '96 Chrysler Sebring. Its a cute car and my uncle who is a mechanic said to buy it....bad idea. After a long struggle of the car having problems repeatedly it finally died for good almost 2 weeks ago. I was given a loan of 5000 dollars by a family member and am trying my hardest to be really smart this time around. I plan on buying something around 13,000. I want something super reliable, something that requires little maitenance. I live in a large city that requires alot of driving though I don't often drive very long distances. I have been considering a Honda Civic, Toyota Yaris and the Volkswagen New Beetle. At this point I want the New Beetle the most but am unsure about its reliability. I am a college student who waitresses and I don't want a huge car payment for the rest of my life. Also something that isn't going to have insurance rates that go through the roof. Thanks

when driveing into my street ,iwas just jussed missed by 2 kids on a bike driving on the wrong side of the road, its my car which will be damaged.also if a youth runs out maybe drunk, i bang into him, he's ok but leaves my car with a large repair bill. how do i stand legally. at the moment i'm fed up of youths just running out or wearing walkmans and not concentrating on the traffic, i dont wish to bump into anybody, but if i do, all i'll get is abusive language from them, and a garage bill, in the city center at a crossing on green in my favour a mother and young child just walk across, i braked quickly as i dont speed, they just turned around with unberleaveable abuse, and they where at fault. they where crosing as the red man was on. its getting to be all the time, and youths who walk on the road and will not move out of the way. to them its a laugh.

I've read some about cold air intakes, air filters, (the turbonator (bad reviews from what I've read) I'm just trying to get my car, fixed up a bit, with a few performance parts here and there, just wondering what might be the best things to go with, mainly looking for improved HP, better gas mileage. It's a good car and it's running well now, just thought it might deserve a few presents. Wanted to see what might be the best route to take, what parts will help the car run, and run well.

Mercedes gives the idea of wealth. That is because they jack up all the prices on their cars that don't have half as much technology as modern Lexus's. Mercedes owners are rich and just have the ability to be ripped off. Mercedes' have horrible reliability. The "W" guy keeps on saying that J.D. Powers gave Mercedes a good reliability rating. AGAIN, J.D. Powers only rates cars for the first 90 days. If anyone is buying a car just to own it for 90 days, go ahead and buy a Mercedes! Consumer Reports, which rates cars for years, and gives Mercedes horrible ratings. Sad because Lexus cars that cost less actually do BETTER. Any Lexus will have more reliable and more updated technology than any Mercedes. For those who say that they own a Mercedes for its performance, that's B.S. If you are looking for performance, get a BMW. If you are looking for luxury,.value, safety, technology, and comfort, get a Lexus. There is no other reason to get a Mercedes other than to show off!

I am 16 years old right now and in highschool I live in chicago and the laws are about to change for teen drivers, right now if I get a permit I only have to hold it for 3 months and I can get my license but at school I am not taking drivers ed till the end of the 4th quarter and the law will be changed by then and I will have to hold the permit for 9 months!

I want to get my permit as soon as possible before the end of this year, I was wondering if I HAD to take drivers ed in my school or can I go somewhere else to take the class to get my permit so that I won't have to wait 9 months to get the license if so where can I take classes? I can't remember what else to ask so just tell me anything that you think I might need to know
this will help me alot.

Thank you!

My friend was in a car accident yesterday. It was close to head on but at an angle. A car collided with hers and her head hit the steering wheel. Then the airbags went off launching her head and neck violently back into the seat. Not only that but the airbag went up enough that it collided with the windshield and shattered it. Glass didn't go anywhere though because its some kind of safety glass or something. Why did the airbags do this? The car was a Pontiac Solstice.

It's a 96 240sx
How much do they cost?
How much power would it have?
What are some cheaper ones?
They would also have to be street legal in the U.S.
Thanks.
