Even emergency vehicles are required to yield in an intersection if they have a red light... The fact that they have the emergency lights and sirens going DOES NOT give them the right to blow through a red light if doing so would cause an accident or interfere with other traffic.

As far as I know, only emergency vehicles, (ambulances, fire, police) with sirens and flashing lights on, can run red lights. I don't believe that mail carriers have such important mail that they shouldn't have to stop like the rest of us.

Nope. basically emergency centers carrying flashing lighting fixtures and sirens can, and decrease than some circumstances funeral processions and protection tension convoys. those are allowed to run a pink IF a minimum of component to the convoy replaced into throughout the time of the mild while it grew to become pink (with a view to not ruin up the convoy).

Neither rain, nor sleet, nor snow will stop the mail man from getting that mail delivered! So why should a red light?
Seriously no they can not run red lights.

believe it or not the us mail has the right away over everyone else including emergency vehicles. i have never seen them use that right but it does exist. but i would still think they have to obey all traffic laws
