The truck runs great as long as you 2 foot the beast, but won't hold idle with the air on and in gear. Will hold idle fine if either air is off or in park. It seems to be idling around 500-600 rpm which is too low (in gear and air on), but there is no adjustment to speed it up. Any ideas? Keep in mind it is running perfect so don't tell me it needs a tuneup.

i have a 1983 Dodge MiniRam 150 van. It says it only goes 85, I don't know how to independently check its speed, but with a sept , 1982 law in reguards to speedometers it must say 85. But do any of you know if it would go past that and how many mph its likely to go? Anyone dealt with this model before? I really dont need a slow mobile. Also anything i can do to improve its gas mileage at this point?

My wife was driving our '05' tahoe when a white smoke like substance came from the vent while the air cond. was on . we took the car to the shop and they said that she drove through a pocket of moisture. well it happened again for the second time today. be it leaves a white residue on the vent so it isn't moisture. Does any one know what this might be?

My 2002 Dodge Dakota 4x4 quit working today. I was driving and and all of the sudden it just quit going. I have all of my forward gears aren't working, but reverse still does. I looked at my transmission and I can see it switching when I pull the lever(it is an automatic) but its like it doesn't catch. Anybody have any ideas of where to look or what could be wrong. I really don't want to take it to the shop if it is just something simple. THanks in advance

My friend has bought a Hillman Minx from the early 1960s. It has no seatbelts as it was never built with any. I've had a look round the internet and can only see "seatbelts must be worn if fitted". Is there a law in place where vintage cars must now be fitted with seatbelts? She's using it as her primary car, not as a secondary one.

My 1987 Oldsmobile Torornado has a chronic and potentially dangerous problem. It always starts easily but after going a short distance, rarely more than a mile or so, the engine totally quits (along with the entire electrical system). An experienced mechanic looked at the problem and declared that he did not have the answer. I can't determine whether it is a fuel, an electric, or an electronic problem but I'm not driving the short until I solve the problem. Thanking you in advance for your help.

If you saw Harrison Ford's AIR FORCE ONE, you'd have noticed that in the movie AFO had an escape capsule similar to the one used for manned rockets.

President Clinton saw the movie and insisted afterwards that AFO had no Escape Pod.

Now here's my problem.

Considering how many drills and war games focus around getting the President out of danger, securing the nuclear football and getting the senior staff to safety in the case of a suprise attack, I find it difficult (if not impossible) to believe AFO has no Escape Pod.

I would consider it poor planning by the government in fact to not have a way of getting the President off of a jumbo jet in the event of a surface-to-air assault or jet fighters attacking from a rogue nation.

Furthermore, if I was President of the USA and I had the ability to make EXECUTIVE DECISIONS there is no way in hell I would fly in a plane without an escape pod. I'd simply force Lockheed to build one.

I have a 96 Ford Explorer, disc brake all tha way around. Somebody put powersteering fluid in the brake resivoir, now the brakes are f'd in tha a. It's been sitting for about a year and a half, Nothing seems to be leaking, master cylinder still pushes out fluid, but sucks a big air buble and raises the fluid level up and down when the brake is pressed down, none of the calipers seems to be leaking, i was thinkin of replacing the master cylinder and seeing if i could get away with just replacing it since none of the other seals seems to be leaking. You can still bleed the brake system, no prob. I don't know, if i am going to have to replace the whole brake system, can abody give me a detailed list of what im going to have to replace.

Over the labor day weekend, I was making a 4-hour drive and noticed that my speedometer started flying all over the place. Around hour 4, it started staying at 0 mph, no matter how fast or slow I was driving. I knew it would have to be repaired/replaced, and thought nothing of it. On the way back (another 4-hour drive), I noticed that my transmission started slipping. Staying at 80mph, it would shift up, then down, then back up. It did this, very annoyingly, about every 30 seconds for the entire 4 hour drive. I also noticed it would shift especially hard when the speedometer would fall to 0mph and then jump back up to 80mph. I brought it in to have it looked at, and they couldn't reproduce the slipping, and could not find anything wrong the the transmission. They told me the speedometer would need to be replaced, but did not specify exactly which part (it was only a free diagnostic). Can anyone give me any clues as to what exactly could be the problem?
