First of all...........tell us what kind of car you have...........
Check your fuel pump..........It could have a stuck relay.....and you wouldnt even know it unless you make an attempt to check it... Charge the battery, reconnect it, open your gas cap, and see if you can hear it running.
Another thing you can do is......
Charge the battery...... locate the fuse box, or boxes, there may be one under the dash, and one under the hood.
Make sure that the fuse boxes are in the shade, as dark as you can get it , and still see what you are doing. Pull out and replace the fuses one by one. Write down which fuse or fuses make a spark when you pull out/ put in, and there you have it.
Get someone to look at whatever system is dragging the battery down.
Oh, btw, a SHORT by itself will not cause this.... A SHORT if it were to be pulling a 12v 500 amp battery down, would create enough heat to melt your car, or certainly catch it on fire. Bet you guys with those lame answers cant even tell me what a short is.

Are you sure the battery is flat because sometimes a broken eath strap can cause a similar reaction, check all the main earth straps, the will run from the engine to the lower parts of the inner wings and also could run from the gear box. If any are damaged or broken they just unbolt and are easy to replace. a good test is to clip a jumplead on a solid part of the engine block and attach the other end to the earth on the battery and see if this makes a difference.

If the battery goes dead overnight and you already bought all that stuff then something in your car is draining the battery over night. Check to see if that light on the inside is on when you lock it at night, or your headlights, some accessory or something. Hope that helps. I had the same problem and it was the inside light. email me for further talks :)

as mentioned before check for a light on, especially in the trunk, glove box or under the hood. if none of these are the problem then you will need to dig in alot further. And thats where it gets a lot tougher
