pros and cons

and could you rate these categories from 1 to 10
performance
appearance
comfort

dont rate everything a ten unless it deserves it especially performance, a ten would be 0-60 in maybe 4 seconds and 170mph top speed

just be an honest critic...please

I just took my NY road test for my license. I failed by 5 points. You need 30 points or under to pass and I had 35. One mistake is when I had to parallel park. At first I was too far from the curb. The instructor told me "can you get closer to the curb?" I fixed it and then was fine. He still took 5 points off for that even though I fixed it. Is this fair? My mom wants to file a complaint especially since I'll be starting college soon with most likely no car.

I need to transport my bike from Chicago down to school in Champaign, IL. They are about 250miles apart. A u-haul costs about $250+gas, I can't afford it. I my car can't tow anything. I can rent a cargo van but I will have to return it at the same location. SO. I think I am just going to ride my Honda CBR 600F3 back.
I have never taken such a long ride before.
The ride is mostly highway in the country side.
Can anybody give me some tips on riding a crotchrocke such a long distance.
I know I will be taking my time and getting breaks as often as I need in the trip.
But anything I should be watching out for?
Anything I should prepare on my bike?
ANYTHING?!
Thanks

My car was having problems. It, out of the blue, would not start. I would tap on the connector that plugs into the ignition module and it would start and be ok for weeks. Then all of a sudden i would have to tap it again. I was low on gas. The signal went off. I made it a short distance home. Then I forgot and drove about4 miles. The next morning I drovw 1 block and it went dead. I am sure i was out of gas. I have tapped on the connector. Nothing works. I cleaned the connector. I have put $10. in gas. Still will not start. I think it may be the gas pressure. Some have told me the fuel pump burns up when out of gas. Others said no. I have got it to backfire once so I am sure gas and spark are there. My son says he can see spark.
If I can get the pressure up and have my son tap it might start. Otherwise i will have to take it to the shop which is like Mayo Clinic.

Okay, my car seems like it hasn't been getting that great of milleage lately, so I've checked the pressure in the tires.

The smart alecks at the oil change place love to fill them low, at around 32 pounds. I think they think they're making life easy on themselves or doing the world a favor.

So, I took it to the tire place, and the guy recommends 35 pounds, but I explained I want to get the max for the best mileage possible.

He looks on the tires and it says 44 pounds, so he says he'll do that, but neither he nor the manager seemed to know anything, saying that "we'll do this if you want to do."

So I'm stlll not sure. I've heard that overinflating can hurt under carraige parts. Will 44 pounds be okay?

I hope that someone here knows more than the nerds at the tire place, thanks.

This isnt a problem im really worried about b/c i usually keep the tank full. Im just wondering why it does this. How exaclty does a gas tank tell how much gas is in there? Thanks!

I recently had the incident of having my rearview mirror fall off the window; and my mistake was attaching it backwards. So now I need to remove it and reattach it, this time the correct way. The only problem is that I can't get it to come off the window now. What is out there that I can use to take it off?

I have never had a drivers license, my husband always took me everywhere I needed to go. He passed away, but I still own the vehicle. I kept it so people could take me somewhere. The insurance we always had still allows me to keep coverage on my vehicle. I was wondering is this legal? Can an insurance cover a vehicle if it's not a licensed driver that owns it, and would my insurance cover other people driving my vehicle. I called some other insurance companies to change insurance for lower rates and they told me they couldn't insure my car because I'm not a licensed driver. Can someone please help me and tell me if my insurance company is in the wrong.

I've somehow managed to drive over some paint which has obviously got all over my tyres and the rear of my car. Its a new car and this doesn't look too attractive. Anyone got any ideas of how to get the paint off my car without messing up the car's original paintwork?

I was recently in an an accident where the other party claimed fault. My car was totaled, and I have been in touch with the other party's insurance. They sent me an appraisal which was low, and doesn't seem to have included the following:
- Lo-jack
- Extended warranty on the vehicle
- Trim of the car

Also, the zip code on the appraisal was wrong (maybe intentionally so) When I check on Edmunds or KBB, the private party value is at least 3K higher.

I am going to talk again with the insurance company, but any tips on how to proceed with this? I cannot go to an appraiser it seems since I do not have comprehensive insurance. I am based in California. Thanks

It's me again, with another motorcycle question. Can anyone recommend a really good make of leather motorcycle jacket that would suit a modern Bonneville? I've seen all sorts of gear on the net at all sorts of prices, but it's difficult to determine what's good and what aint.

I have a 1996 Volvo 850.

The window goes down without a problem, but is very difficult to get back up. You have to sit there pressing the button for ~10 minutes before anything happens.

When you do press the switch, nothing happens at all. The motor doesn't make a noise.

Does this sound like it's a problem with the motor, the wiring, or the switch?
