We just want it as a work truck. It's a 1991 Chevy Silverado... It's a 4 cyl and trubo transmission, what is turbo transmission????

I have been working in a chevy dealership over 19 years.I have never seen a silverado with a 4cyl engine.The base engine for that truck is a chevy 4.3 liter V6. If this truck has a 4cyl engine it must be a chevy S-10. The 350 turbo trans is one of the best on the market for being tough.Hope this helps.

A: The 4 cylinder would have never been in a Silverado
B: There was a Silveado in 1991 but it wqas just the name of the fanciest trim package
C: If it's a turbohydramatic transmission either 350 or 400 there would be no overdrive thus poor MPG
So even for a work truck it sounds too iffy, stay away, could even just be a bonehead seller that can't write the ad which would make me leary of the care the vehicle got.

Turbo transmission.....turbohydro 350 or turbohydro 400
3 speed automatic. The 400 is larger and stronger. I have never heard of a full size (Silverado) with a 4 cylinder engine....maybe it is an S-10

i dont think that chavy has ever released a full size truck with a 4 cyl engine...its either a 6cyl fullsize for a 4 cyl s-10. I dont think (even if someone was dumb enough to do so) that a 4 cyl stock engine could pull a full size truck without tearing up the transmission. Hell, the 4 cyl can barely pull a crapaleir out of its own way.......just my 2 cents though

You have your facts wrong on a few counts:
A - there is no 1991 Silverado. Chevy has only been using that name since 1999
B - They have never put a four cylinder engine in the Silverado

A four cylinder engine with it will make it slower especially in a truck. Since its a work truck you wouldnt need the turbo transmission. its to boost the transmission faster and better. it would prob be worth 8 cylinders if it has that. my advice is to buy that truck.

The add must be wrong, its probably a 4cyl turbo, with and auto transmission - I wouldn't buy it.

don't get a 4 cylinder truck. 4 cylinders is what powers a VW bug.
