There is the UPPER intake manifold which has a total of SIX fasteners that secure it to the LOWER intake manifold (the two long bolts are under the "5.0L EFI" cover plate which requires removing four Torx or allen head fasteners to access). The LOWER intake manifold, at the back of the engine where it faces the firewall is what you are inquiring about, where the PCV valve plugs into. Hope this helps.

the intake manifold will run between both heads in the center of the motor, I looked up the fuel filters for both posabile motors and the 351 has a carb so the carb sits on the intake. on the injected 302, you probley don't have an intake, but a throttle plate that bolts to a set of intake runners that supply air to the heads and cyl.

It is a 2 piece unit. The upper part is on top where the 5.0 emblem is, it bolts to the lower intake.

i see it this way, in case you are able to have all of it torn down, dont placed the previous areas back on. that equipment sounds like a great high quality. because of the fact the cooling equipment must be drained any way for the intake, the water pump would be a great element to do at that element.
