sounds like sticky floats. they dont sell float bowl gaskets individually, you gatta buy the carb rebuild kit as I recall its 17 dollars and you need 4 because you got 4 carbs. sooo take em apart clean em up install new gaskets and synchronize the carbs cause you took em off the bike.If you dont have gauges to synch the carbs a shop charges about 65 bucks to do it. the gauges are a little over a 100 bucks. I would buy the gauges its an easy job gonna need a long screwdriver with a 45 degree turned tip to reach the synchronizing screw located in the middle of the carbs.

On a bike that old it could be lots of things, all having to do with the carbs. You might have gaskets that have gone bad in the float bowls. It might be that the floats have deteriorated and are no longer 'floating'. It could be that the little valve that the float opens and closes is not closing.

The thing to do on a bike that age is to rebuild the carbs. You order a rebuild kit, pull them off and take them apart one by one and replace gaskets and seals, jets, and floats. It's not that hard to do, probably the hardest part is getting them all synched up after you reinstall them.

The CB750 Custom was a very nice bike in its day! If that's all that's wrong with it, you're lucky!

It sounds like the float(s) are stuck and allowing fuel to overfill the bowls. The fuel is flowing out of the over-flow ports. Remove the float bowls and clean the floats, hinge pin, and the needle and seat. A rebuild kit may be needed. Check out BikeBandit.com for older OEM parts.

replace the gaskets, you could also try some hi temp permatex on the screws themselves. there actually drain screws so you can drain the float bowls for storage or repair
