Try calling them on the phone. It is usually a lot cheaper to stay on your parent's policy until the age of 25.

First, you need a car to obtain insurance coverage estimates. They can't tell you a figure without knowing what they are covering. Second, stay on your parents policy. Doubtful you can obtain your own policy anyways since you are under 18 (legal age for signing contracts).

How do you expect to get insurance for a car you don't have? The first thing they will ask is the year make and model of the vehicle you want to insure.

Once you are licensed, the cheapest rate you will find is to be added to your parents policy.

Insurance is also based on the car you have. Insurance on a Lamborghini is going to be a lot more expensive than on a Honda Civic.

i wouldn't go with gieco! yes the lizard is cute, but they aren't the cheapest. I was in your possision a couple of months ago first time on my own, had to get my own insurance. i went with progressive.. i have the lowest coverage and have had 2 wrecks on my record and my insurance is 86. I'm still under the 21 y.o. range. so my suggestion try other things besides gieco.

Insurance rates are based, in part, on the vehicle you wish to insure. No company can give you an accurate quote without a vehicle.
