Can anyone tell me why the front brakes of my Aprilia RS 250 keep seizing up?. I have had the calipers off and lubricated the pots, and bled the system. They work fine after doing this but then the following day they have seized up again. Just a little bit frustrating. Cheers.

have any of you had a problem with your gas pedal sticking and the car just keeps on going by itself. I have taken it back to the dealership but they seem to cannot find anything wrong with it. I will shut the car off going down the road and pull over and restart it and its okay. but this has been 3 times in the last 10,000 miles it has happen to me. so I was wondering if anybody else have had problems with equinox's made by chevrolet newer models?

I'm a student and have some extra money for car insurance, registration and other expenses (approx.$400-600). But I really need it. I'm thinking about $2500-$4000 used car. I will study here 2 more years so I'm not looking for a long-time drive.

I have options...
1. Buying above priced car from a dealer with financing (I have good credit history).
2. Leasing above priced used car (if possible).
3. Get loan from a bank (if possible) and buy from an individual party.
4. Or try my luck in an auction.
Which one is better and where I can find the best deal in Los Angeles or San Francisco area?

Regards,
Abdu

We recently moved from US to UK and brought our American car to UK.

There are two main requirements form DVLA to get the car registered 1) SVA Test 2) Insurance in my name

I have figured how to get the SVA test done via VOSA, so 50% problem solved.

What I am struggling with is getting an insurance for the car. I have a American Drivers license (you can drive in UK using American license for upto a year, so am covered there) and my car is not registered. Now my problem is that

a) Most common Insurance companies provide insurance to holders of foreigh licenses, but do not provide insurance without "Registration Number" of the car.

b) Subset of insurance companies that insure cars based on "Chassi Number" do not provide insurance to holders of Foreign licenses.

Do you know of any solution to this dilema? Do you know of a company that would insure foreign license holder based on chassi number of the car? OR Do you see any other solution to my problem?

I just got my drivers permit, and i don't have a car of my own, my finance has been teaching me to drive in his car, and said once i get my license his parents will let me drive one of there old cars. I don't really know how car insurance works.. my finance is still on his family's insurance, since they get a discount for multiply cars (they have 5). My question is, would there insurance cover me driving there car? or would i have to get my own plan? and can i get a plan on a car i don't own?

We had our car checked out at a mechanic prior to listing for sale. The mechanic confirmed there were no issues with the car. The person who purchased our vehicle three days ago claims that there are several mechanical issues and wants to either return it, have us pay the mechanical bills or take us to court. What are the rules for this as a private seller?????

we all treat speeding as being different from a crime like theft but isn't it amoral and non-christian to speed? The road planners have over a hundred years of experience to call on when setting the maximum speed allowed for a particular stretch of road. Then we come along and exceed the limit by 20 percent, 50 percent, even 100 percent and do not believe that is wrong. If a seven-year-old rides her bicycle off the pavement into our path and we can't stop in time, is that really an "accident?"

My backup lights stopped working a while back and though maybe I should fix them. I traced the line and when I get closer to the engin I get a slight bit of power but closer to the lights there is none. Would this be a short or could it be just the reverse switch on the transmission?

Sometime back, I read that some rich and famous people buy old Soviet fighters for their own pleasure.

Will it be possible for us to buy old US fighter planes for our own use? Can we buy an old F15 or F16 fighter and fly it for our own reasons? If the US air force or navy refused to sell them, can we get them from other countries? After all, we are buying them to have our own fun.
