hi, I have a 1996 Pontiac Sunfire. it's mileage is 167,522 miles. It only had one owner, who maintained the car VERY well. and it is estimated to have 3 to 4 years left in it. I have a 2.4 Liter Twin Cam engine. a buddy of mine at work who knows stuff about cars said replacing it would be like $3000. now thats for all of the necesarry components too, like the water pump and stuff. i dont know if hes right or not. i know NOTHING about cars, and ive been asking here often. now the engine i have is more than 10 years old obviously so i dont know if manufacturers still make that kind of engine... like i said i know nothing... i just want an engine that is either exactly the one i have, or something very similar. im not one of those crazy teenagers dying to be the fastest... i just want a car that runs. this has to last me a long time. thank you for reading everyone and please explain your answers the best you can.

Would it even be worth buying? My neighbor is trying to get rid of it and I need a car to get to and from college. It's a 93 Nissan, don't know the model off hand. He wants $800 from it and everything seems to be working fine with it, except I'd have to get it inspected since it expired.

How much more miles could it take on?

Okay my friend took his car to an auto shop to have it checked out. He only wanted to know what the problem was. He made this very clear when he took the car in. So instead of telling him what's the problem, they went ahead and fixed the car. They left a voicemail saying they fixed it and he owes $350. He doesn't think he should have to pay for it because he was just trying to find out the problem. He's going to talk to them tomorrow. What do you think?

I'm a D-DD. Depends.
And everytime a guy wants to hang out with me, there term of 'hanging out' is 'hooking up'. I dont get it. Every guy wants to hook up with me as their result of trying to hook up with me? Why is that? I have dark brown hair. I wear makeup. Deep blue eyes. and Big breasts, and 5'0 (yes i'm short, but i'm proud of it) is it because the size of my breasts, and they think i'm easy? or what?

Ive got a JVC CD/MP3 stereo that I pulled out of my car after I totaled it. My VanHalen cd is stuck inside, and I want it out. I currently have emulated a power supply of 12v (regulated through an AC adapter), ground, and a toggle switch to take place of the accessory from the ignition.

My issue is, the power supply(s) that I am using are only pushing 15.7v. The unit itself is lighting up, yet there is still not enough electricity to completly power up and use the device.

I own a 1992 Chevy S-10 Blazer 4x4 with 4.3L Vortec, auto trans. My once faithful truck first started running rough, then stall, wouldn't start for an hour. Changed fuel filter-it drove 15 miles fine, then run rough, then stall.Hour later it starts, runs about 4 miles to home and dies. I put on many parts recently including dist cap/rotor, plugs/wires, fuel filter, air filter, checked all vac hoses and computer codes. I am getting full voltage to starter, full power to all plugs, and just did a fuel pressure test which checked out 100%- so I know my fuel pump is working, my ignition is working too. The fuel pressure regulator is underneath the intake manifold and have no way of testing it.Could this cause it to not run? Also, a manual said that if the low oil pressure switch is defective it won't start-is this true? Why isn't the computer giving up an error code? The computer checks out also-WHAT COULD IT BE!??

I have a 93 Manual Mada 626 GE
The brake oil level keeps dropping and the light starts indicating for brake oil. When i fill it up again it goes down within a months time. (nearly 1cm from the max level idicator)
I wouldn't let it drop below min level.

Sometimes my clutch makes a noise when I release clutch.
It's not slipping for sure but just makes the noise when giving the clutch. Once given it runs smooth.

Can it be a problem with the hydraulics?

By foreign, I mean toyota, honda, suzuki, hyundai, and kia (the latter two seem to be terrible but have great warranties). A dealer told me that the 1997 land cruiser that I was looking at would cost more to fix than an american navigator etc. Is it true? Comparing apples to apples, are japanese car replacement parts more expensive than american cars. Are they more reliable?

I am 16 years old and have been practicing driving. I've had my permit for about 3 months and practice with my dad. I'm pretty good but I get really nervous and as a result hesitate or make stupid mistakes I wouldn't normally have made. It also could be that my dad dosen't tell me when to turn or something like that until the last second so that might also be why too lol. Can someone help me overcome my fear??

I'm a first time driver, looking to purchase a second-hand car. I realize I will need to take into consideration the make and model of the car, which will play an important role in determining the insurance I pay. I am ready to spend around $4000.00 for the price of the Car. A friend recommended a Honda or a Toyota. What would you recommend and what model?
