My car has a very squeaky tire. When I break, the noise stops. Does anyone know what causes this, and how I can make it stop?

Tires don't squeak. The noise is coming from your brakes. They key indicator is that it stops when you apply them. That means it is brake related. Have them inspected.

I doubt if it is your tire. It is more likely the wear indicators telling you it is time to get the brake pads replaced. Have you brakes checked soon. The longer you put it off the more it could cost you if you let it wear down to the rivets on the pads. You could tear up the rotors. good luck.

The air in the tire(s) might be low so you might want to check that out.
