Fuse - is a small conductor through which the current is passed to the AMP. When high voltage current flows, the fuse goes off and it makes the circuit open to prevent the damages to the AMP.

I'm assuming you mean for your car. ( if not, your home fuses work similarly, they're just bigger)

All of your car fuses are rated in ampres (or amps).
Your various electronic devices in your car require different amount of electricity. The Fuses are a safeguard against too much electricity going through your devices and burning them up.

You can get replacement fuses at any local auto parts store.
Most of the fuses today are color coded. So if your blue (10 amp) fuse burns out, you simple replace it with the same amperage fuse.

To find a blown fuse simple pull out the fuse that corresponds to the item that not working in your car (or home). There's usually a guide on the fuse box cover. Hope that helps.

The fuse is to protect the equipment. If the amp pulls too much amperage then the fuse will melt or blow as you can call it. Then the amp will be saved from doing damage to itself. If the fuses continue to blow then there is a problem somewhere in the wiring or an internal part. good luck.
