I sometimes see traffic light with blinds. Most of the times such traffic lights remain green. I have not read anything about them in a traffic theory book. What is the purpose of such lights?

Alright, I posted this in the wrong place last time. Background: I have had starting problems with my Venture now for the past month-month and a half. Sometimes it starts sometimes it doesn't. When I turn the key to the "on" position, I get full power to the dash, radio and fans. When I turn to the "start" position, I get nothing. I pulled the starter out myself brought it the auto-part store for testing - it tested with no problems. This problem happened every 3 or 4 days to start, had an oil change and went about two weeks with no problems (coincedence?) then it started happening again. Now two days ago, it stopped and I have been trying every day with no success - no start at all power to everything. I pulled the starter off, but before I did that, I was under the vehicle and had my wife try start, there wasn't even a click at the starter. I took the starter out again and had it tested again - still no problem with the starter. Can anyone offer any advice?

hi just wondering i have been looking into driving a dump truck and maybe a semi with a dump trailer but the cost of insurance is kind of steep. I am 22 yrs old and currently have a class B cdl. I already drive a straight truck every day going to chicago and back so ive got 1 year of experience driving already. The insurance quotes we have been getting are pretty steep. I have a very good driving record but i think it is because of my age because if i was 25 it would be 3 times cheaper. I was just wondering if anyone has had this problem before and are there any other ways around it or am i stuck with the high policys till i turn 25. Im pretty new to this so i just wanted to know. About 3 months ago I noticed a small crack on my windsheild, on the passenger side, it starts near the bottom, about 2 inches up, and its only on the insde of the window you can feel the crack, but the outside of the window is small.

Every few weeks, the crack seems to "jump" up, I notice it when I get off work, its not about half way up my window, its not a perfect line it jumps from side to side sort of.

Is it safe to drive with that crack? How long can I go befor eI need to replace it?

The basics: I can't complete my California smog check due to my ASR button not working. I don't really need the car and I don't want to continue paying for it (just moved and public transportation is fantastic) but how can I get rid of it without making the improvements? I also have a few payments left.

Question: Do I seek out people in car clubs (it's a 2001 Volkswagen), post an ad on Craigslist, or suck it up and pay to have the car fixed and registered?

Personally, I think it is great. The Germans did bring Chrysler back into the mainstream again, but I feel better that it is back under US control. I don't think that the Germans were happy that a inferior US brand was making money over a superior German brand. But that is my thinking, wrong or not!
