Very eazy.Call you local chevy dealership parts dept.Give the last 8 of the Trucks VIN and they will tell you the gear ratio.

I believe that the tag on the side of the drivers door has a letter for rear axle.Take that letter & call the auto dealer and he should be able to tell you what type of rear end is in there. Or the rear axle will have a tag on it.

you con find a tag on one of the bolts off the axle cover or take the cover off it should be on the ring not the pi on hope these helps u

Look for one of these codes on your SIPI sticker(the list of all of the codes used to build your vehcle). That is either in the coverbox(on the door) or in the driver's door jam.

GQ1 -- AXLE REAR, STD RATIO
GT4 -- AXLE REAR, 3.73 RATIO
GT5 -- AXLE REAR, 4.10 RATIO
GU4 -- AXLE REAR, 3.08 RATIO
GU5 -- AXLE REAR, 3.23 RATIO
GU6 -- AXLE REAR, 3.42 RATIO
G80 -- AXLE REAR, LIMITED SLIP (POSITRACTION)
