it's a little past due but i want to learn to do the basic maintenance myself. i noticed in the owners manuel that the oil filter had to be tightened to a certain torque. can anyone elaborate on this for me

Car is a 1997 Mitsubishi 3000gt base model. I am installing a Panasonic CQ3301U. I would like to know if it's a fuse issue and if so which fuse and if possible can someone provide a fuse map. Thanks.

Can anyone give me some ideas about why my 99 tahoe won't start. It will crank but won't actually start and then go back either that afternoon or the next day or sometimes 15 minutes later and it will start, there is no rhyme or reason when it will do it or when it will decide to actually start. Sometimes if you catch it while your cranking and give it gas it will start but you have to stay on the gas for a little bit or it will die. We have put in a new fuel pump and that didn't fix the problem, a friend of ours did it for us, and he also checked the fuel pressure and said it was good, but we haven;t changed the fuel filter can this cause that type of problem? If the fuel filter is bad wouldn't it affect the fuel pressure? I have noticed that sometimes it seems like it's on days that it is rainy or cloudy, but it was raining heavily this morning when I went to work and it started fine, and then at lunch it won't start.

In Europe for 5 weeks. Travelling by train at least 8 trips through Germany, Austria, Chek.Republic,Switzerland and one trip to Venice. Suggested type of pass or passes needed. I believe Eurail does not recognize Chec.Republic as one of the countries on their pass. Any info. will help or BEST web site to buy. Thank you

After some checking...there is NO power to fuel pump. wires look OK; have power to relay and interchanged relays; changed ignition switch - no help.
Also the fuel gauge does not move when key turned to ON position...what should I check/do next ?????

i like civic si for its trendy looks and its power

Well, I accidentally bought a boat deep cycle starting motor battery for my boat's trolling motor instead of a trolling battery for it 3 years ago. I have two battery chargers, and when I use either one to charge my trolling motor battery, it takes over 18 hours to have a full charge. What is wrong? Is the battery not good or something, or is it because I am using a deep cycle boat motor starter battery for my trolling motor?

i have no idea whats going on but my blazers battery died last night and i charged the battery now my radio wont work.. the crazy thing is that its not the theftlock)) because its a RDS theftlock radio which im told is the type that runs off the vehicles vin number..... but this radio has been in my blazer forever and always worked.....this also means that there is no code to put in.... you cant hold 2 and 3 down or 1 and 4.... so how am i supposed to get it to work???

OK, I'm at a crossroads here. I have an excellent condition 1986 Dodge Omni. 2.2L, 5 speed, high back seats, etc. What I WANT is a GLHS. Will it be cheaper to clone the one I have, or find a GLH (or GLHS if I can) and restore it? Any that I have been able to find have sadly been abused or are just shells for parts.
