OK, I'm at a crossroads here. I have an excellent condition 1986 Dodge Omni. 2.2L, 5 speed, high back seats, etc. What I WANT is a GLHS. Will it be cheaper to clone the one I have, or find a GLH (or GLHS if I can) and restore it? Any that I have been able to find have sadly been abused or are just shells for parts.

If you can't own it clone it.I believe the glhs was the 2.2 @224 hp.If yours is that nice just convert it from donor cars.

If I remember correctly the GLH and GLHS had a 2.5L, as well as the Shelbys (which I think had turbo). If you are only going for looks then you have a good starting point, provided yours is in good shape as mentioned. However If you truely want to build or restore a GLH or GLHS The pickin's are going to be few and far between. Alot of the cars from that era have since been crushed, parted, or driven into the ground. Try e-bay.
