OK - to clarify on all the comments here!
Ferrari - the company was founded by Enzo Ferrari as a race team which ran Afla Romero cars in Grand Prix racing. After a few years of working with these cars, Enzo decided he could do better himself and designed and built the first Ferrari. He continued to be involved in the company until his death in the late 1980s (though controlling interest in the company was sold to Fiat in the 1970s). Today, the company is still in Italy, and is still owned by the Italian car company Fiat.
Dino Ferrari was Enzo's son who died from lukemia in the mid 1950s (and was never involved in the company).
Ferruccio Lamborghini was an owner of a tractor factory - his connect to Ferrari was that he purchased a car from Enzo in the 1960s. As the story goes, Ferruccio was not happy with the clutch in his Ferrari and complained constantly to Enzo, who didn't want to be bothered by it... Ferruccio Lamborghini then decided he would aim to outdo Ferrari by making his own car. There is no common business connection between the two.

The man that invented the very well-known sports car is named Enzo Ferrari. He's an Italian, that makes his invention came from the same place too.
