Car is a 1997 Mitsubishi 3000gt base model. I am installing a Panasonic CQ3301U. I would like to know if it's a fuse issue and if so which fuse and if possible can someone provide a fuse map. Thanks.

There is no map on the fuse box cover.

Get a circuit tester light with a probe and test all the fuses for being blown...the new fuses that are plastic with little metal spades sticking out of them have test point holes on the top of the fuse where the amp rating is seen....the holes are right in line with the terminals inside the fuse. If you check for power on each of these holes while the fuse is in the fuse box, there should be power to both sides of the fuse's test points...otherwise, it's blown. The fuse box usually has circuit names next to the fuse also, like "radio" or "heater" or "ignition" etc.

It fuse map you seek, will be on the back of the fuse box cover. Fuse boxes are usually located in the drivers kick panel, or underneath the hood. Both will have maps which will identify the fuses. The fuse you seek will usually be called "radio" or "back up radio"

It may also be found in the owners manual.
