I have a 97 T&C 3.8L, my problem is when im driving all of a sudden the engine would cut and I would have to wait for it to cool to keep going. Dash shows that the engine isnt overheating, and the temp senser is fairly new. Power is running to other parts of the car so I know its not a battery\power issue. And thats all i can really think of, any ideas folks? not sure if its a tranny issue or engine issue

I just installed an aftermarket radio in my 2001 dakota and now I have no sound. The truck has Infinity amp and speakers. Do I have to bypass the amp? And if I have to bypass any tips would be greatly appreciated. Or is there a way to get sound without bypassing amp? Thanks in advanced.

The oil light on my car came on as I turned a corner. I didn't realize until then that I had let it go so long with out a change. I checked the dip stick and there was no oil on it. I plan on taking it to a garage tomorrow. The nearest to me is about 25 miles away. Should I put a quart of oil in before I take it to ensure that I get there with out messing the engine up? Or Can I just wait? If I need to put more oil in, what kind should I put in?

I am totally stupid when it comes to car motors. Please forgive me for sounding so dumb.

my chrysler 2.2L 4cyl has 82,000km on it, and started leaking a bit of oil out the bottom of the car somehwere before winter and i stored it in the winter and placed a large cardboard underneath....after there was some oil on the cardboard.....well anyway come april 20th, i changed the oil and checked for leaks underneath and doesnt seem to be leaking anywhere but i notice small spots of oil underneat...oil pan is is not rusted out....i had a new valve cover gasket put in last year....its not burning oil.....but yet after a while on the dipstick it gets down to the add mark....do i have bypass going through rings....i dont get why its losing oil.....also antifreeze is not in oil....

My wife hit the suv in the back at the signal. No big damage. No injuries. My right headlight is broken. His rear left bumber has a little bit damage. My wife has CA learner's permit. I have full insurance. What I should do now? I am kind of tensed very much as of what will happen. Since there were no injuries or damage, I didn't inform cop. I asked him too. He also said no need. But he took my car insurance company details and passed on the info to his insurance company. How does it work now? Should I do anything? Did I not do anything that I supposed to do? Please help me out. I am going out of my mind because I am tensed as this is unexpected and I never faced this kind of situation. Please help me!

I was driving down the road at about 40 mph. I saw that the light was red, so I pressed the brakes. There wasn't much resistance from the brakes and I ended up pressing the brake pedal to the floor, and yet, my car continued to move forward. I could press no harder than I was but the car kept strolling. Luckily the light turned green, and I avoided rear ending the person in front of me. I drove slow all the way home, still having the same problems. I put in brake fluid, but that didn't seem to help any. Could there be another reason for my brakes no longer working?

I've noticed it on some jet engines especially the A330/340, I don't think it's for fuel dumping since the fuel jettisons are located on the wings.

i have a 2002 nissan altima 2.5SL and the car will run/idle for a minute or two and shut off, run/idle for a minute or two and shut off again. the mechanic says it may be an idle control sensor, but i can't seem to find one anywhere, so if anyone has any idea to what the problem might be please help me, it would be most helpful.

Is it an old wives tale that if you are low on gas you should turn off the AC in your car b/c it burns gas? I don't see how the AC would use up gas. Can anyone explain it?

The jeep has 360 amc with manual choke so I don't think it is a choke issue. Some times it does it and sometimes no. The problem is that it will idle in park just fine and has no problems but as soon as you put it in drive, the thing falls on its face and dies.

If your car won't start because the battery is low or dead, whats the greatest way I can use I battery charger if I can't find a jump start? Can I just hall out the battery charger with an extension cord, connected it and start? Or do I need to disconnect the battery cables first and wait a while? Or disconnect and not have to wait a while? thanks!

2003 Ford Focus Sedan LX
I had a problem with my signals and took it in to ford. they looked at a bunch of things and then traced it this metal box which which conected to the wiring harness that was put in along with my u haul hitch. Before they found that they put in new GEM module. I guess that conrols the turn signal amongst other things. Now when i brake the normal brake lights comes on along with the upper turn signal light. It should only light up one light (on the tail light) can i change that? or whats the deal.
