i have a viper 5000 with lcd remote and i somehow turned it off the blue light is not flashing its just solid blue i saw the installer do it one time whre he turned it off and then on i know the door has to be open but i dont know what to press please help...

Your alarm is in valet mode, but the procedure listed above isn't quite correct. There are two ways to switch the valet mode on or off:

1. Open a vehicle door. Quickly press and release the LOCK, AUX, and LOCK buttons on your remote. The LED light should immediately go out, and you'll be back in normal operation.

2. Open a vehicle door. Put your key in the ignition, turn it to the RUN position, then turn it back off again. Within 10 seconds, press and release the valet switch. The LED light should go out.

The valet switch looks like a small black pushbutton. If you don't know where it is, then stop by the install shop again and ask them to show you. You'll need the valet switch if your alarm is ever armed and your transmitter gets lost or doesn't work.

well i would guess its in valet mode. somewhere under the dash by the pedals there should be a little switch or button put the key in the ignition turn the car on but not running and press and hold the switch or flip it the other direction.

It is no big deal that the light is not working as long as the alarm still works... The guy who answered your question ahaead of me was rude by saying you are childish blah blah blah... dont pay any attention to people like that.
