whats the stupidest or most embarassing reason you failed your driving test...
mine was today.... forgot to take parking brake off automatic failure, didnt leave the parking lot

On my first drivers test I totaled the car... Made a perfect backpark, then came out of the parking spot and got glombed by a truck from my blind spot. The examiner was actually shaking. I had the presence of mind to ask him if this meant I wouldn't pass.

I can understand your frustrations but I can also understand why he felt he needed to fail you. I think by law they have to fail you if you hit anything. Practice your turns and try it again. It's okay if you failed twice, no big deal. It may be your comfort in the car, are you used to driving that vehicle? Have you been practicing in that vehicle? Some cars are long, wider and easier / harder to maneuver. I think its best to practice in the car you will be taking the test with and also the same car that you will be driving after you pass. That way you feel comfortable with the way the car moves and you also become familiar with the length and width of the car.

Picture this:
Pulling out of the parking lot and I get on this really small sidestreet. There's a stoplight and the intersection of this road is one of those sort of highways/incredibly busy streets...and I tried to turn left on red. The instructor told me to pull over to the side of the road. I did. He made me get out and walk back to the DMV while he was going to drive himself back...

The examiner, who was riding in the car with me, told me I didn't need to stop at the first stop sign on the course. He actually cackled gleefully as he marked on his clipboard that I went sailing through the stop sign...
Valuable lesson learned: do NOT listen to your passengers!!!
I did pass... eventually.

my mom told me she nearly ran over a pedestrian when she took her test. she figured that since she was in the car, she should have the right of way.

the hood wasnt locked in place so my driving instructor guy went out to push it back in, i got anxious because it was almost rush hour and throttled it, nearly ran over the guy oops!
