is there an official word for the fear of driving? [just like the fear of spiders is "arachnophobia"]

We just found out (bombshell!) we are expecting no. 3. Other kids will be 20 months and 3 1/2. We are faced with a problem of how to transport them all. I have an Astra and have found out that airbag can't be disabled. Cars like Zafira don't seem practical because I have to climb over all the luggage and go in through the boot to get to the back seat if I have fixed car seats on seats 3 and 4. I don't know what to do. How does everyone else manage. Anybody out there with this problem. How did you solve it?

The other day i was being a bit silly in my K reg nissan sunny estate. i went round a corner too fast and hit the curb hard. hard enough to burst the tyre. i changed the tyre for the spare but now when im driving there is a loud knocking sound. it shakes the car quite alot especially over 30mph. when im going very slowly there is a squeaking sound. i was wondering if anyone could tell me what ive done to my car?! i was thinking driveshaft related?

My parents got me a driving instructor back in January. At first, i thought it was pretty good. Then for the last 2 months, he's been bailing out on my lessons even though my parents paid $500 for it. It makes me so angry, especially since my parents aren't doing anything and they're too whimpy to even teach me how to drive let alone sit in the car with me. The instructor keeps telling my parents that I'll pass for sure during my first driving test. Being mad, and feeling totally unprepared for a driving test, I don't know if I should purposely mess up just so my parents would get the message and start doing what they need to do, go drive with me. Also, I suspect there's something weird going on since I found out that he takes all his students to a DMV that's about a 2 hour drive from where I live. Why would someone do that when they could take the test at a DMV 5 blocks from my house? I'm totally lost and don't know what to do.

I've driven a compact car for 3 years now and I am ready to move up to a full size sedan, however I have a limit to what I can spend. I was given the option to get a 2006 Hyundai Sonata at an extremely reasonable price. I've heard both good & bad things abt Hyundai, and I am not sure if this would be a smart buy. However it is a beautiful car. Please let me know of your views of this car. Thanks!

I was in an accident where the front side of my Acura Integra was hit. The car runs fine. Of course the alignment is off. My insurance is offering a total loss for this vehicle. I found a decent place to fix this up. If I go with the buy back I would have a few extra $$ in my pocket. My question is should I buy something for their offer of 4k or buy back my Acura and just run it into the ground. I recently spent 3k fixing with new wheels, struts tune up etc. Please advise.

Hey guys,
My Honda Pilot's windshield (the cockpit side) has this really thin film of grease or something... I didn't do anything bad, like I didn't spill anything. I think everyone has this thin film, but my buildup is kinda visible at night, when the streetlights shine through and diffuse through the grease... does anyone know a good cleaning product, I tried Windex, but that's for household purposes... not automotive applications.

yesterday i was sitting in my car [2000 Eclipse GT 5speed] with the engine running for a few minutes, forgot that it was on, and as i was about to leave i turned the key to start my car up, and realized it was already on by the loud grinding/crunching sound. i drove to a nearby store, turned the car off, and 5 minutes later came back, and ever since then my car wont start or even turn over. could this have completely killed my starter permanently? i read on yahoo something about the solenoid being "seized" or stuck in the "start" position, and a good tap with a hammer can put it back to normal. do you know anything about this? i am planning on removing the starter and taking to advance auto parts to have tested, but even if it comes up as a "bad" starter, can i cure it with a hammer or something simple? and if it comes up as a "good" starter, is it still possible that it could be showing "good" on the test because only the solenoid is messed up? PLEASE help, i have no ride now.
