Kiffin is correct (and it is Grand Central that the train goes to).

Parking on NYC (Manhattan) streets is next to impossible. Parking garages are very, very expensive.

The traffic is next to impossible as well. It could take you as much as 30 minutes or more just to go from the east of Manhattan to the West side.

Take the railroad (and if needed when you get to Grand Central, the subway) - you'll be better off.

Sure, buy why drive? The railroad runs right from New Rochelle into Penn Station, or maybe it's Grand Central Station. (It's been a few years since I lived in NYC!) It's cheaper, easier, faster and you get to relax and arrive at work relaxed, rather than tense and sweaty.

Very doable. I do it every day. Depends a lot on traffic and where in the city you'd want to go to. From/ to midtown during morning and evening traffic it takes me an average of 45 minutes.

Yes it is, but you have to see if it's worth your while to spend so much time on the road per day and spend that amount of gas for commuting?

Consider carpooling or public transportation such as the train.
