Everything I've read from reliable researchers about those gas-saving gizmos indicates that they're a waste of money. Too bad...wish there was something like that which would do some good, but apparently there isn't.

I work in a garage, and I get asked this all the time. It doesnt work. Its all a mind game, it creates a different sound and your mind automatically thinks more power. About 95% of the prodcts out there that "will save you money on gas" are pure and utter BS. Like the magnets over the fuel line saying how it aligns the ions and helps the gas burn better or whatnot, Its a hoax. The best way to increase you fuel saving abilties, is to drive a completly maintained vehicle. A healty vehicle runs better and takes less fuel. A sick vehicle takes more fuel to get the same result. Keeping you oil fresh, your vehicle tuned up, leaks under control, and fluids healthy, the engine will not have to work as hard and you will save fuel. As for the Tornado, I have heard that all it does is change the pitch of the air going into the engine, it makes a throater sound. I did that too, and it cost me the time of cutting some holes in the side of my air box (where the air goes into the filter, not where the air goes into the engine) and it made the same nosie. I know its a hoax.

Are you aware that the car manufacturers get taxed every year based on the fuel economy of the vehicles they build, and mileage is also a big factor consumers use when buying a car? So, obviously, they spend a HUGE amount of money making their cars and trucks as efficient as possible, so long as it's not affecting the price or performance. Yet, not ONE of them puts something like this in ANY of their cars. If it worked, it would already be on the car when it rolled off the assembly line. The only possible effect it could have is that by swirling the air, it may slightly increase the effective length of the intake manifold, which may be of a tiny benefit under very specific conditions, but would be a negative in others. Net effect.....your wallet is $60 lighter. You've been duped.

It depends who you talk to. Some people swear by them and some swear they are junk. Just think about how they work, they vortex the air as it passes through the intake which is supposed to kind of "charge" certain molecules in the air and promote combustion. Honestly, it would take a few years to gain what you spent on the device. For a cleaner burn in the cylinder which translates into power, here is what should work best. Cold air intake, some form of platinum or iridium spark plug (stay away from bosch in the GM's), a good ignition system(MSD,Jacobs Electronics), computer chip upgrade, and to round it all off a high flow exhaust system. Just my $.02 worth.

Well I can say for a faxt NO.
If it really worked as clamed then it would be on every car.
Here is how the scam works.
You buy it with a money back garentee. And thy put your money in the bank. After 30 day you see no improvement and you request your money back
You get your money back but you are only 1 of say a million that does. And still you get yours back but how many people take the time to do it.
So thy make money and the product gets another sucker to buy there junk.

Seems like if they did, then they would be on all the new cars. I doubt if they are worth the money. IMHO
