Get the best oil and filter that you can afford. With Amsoil, you can go 1 year or 20,000 miles between oil changes. People who change their oil every 3000 miles are just lining others' pockets.

I use Fram filters and then install an Engine Sentry inside the filter. This ensures no steel particulates will pass through the filter, even though unassisted filtration only goes down to about 20-microns.

Normal no name brand whatever it doesent matter what matters is if your beating up your engine you need to change you oil more often than if you werent like say 1500 instead of 3000 miles i change mine every 1000 use normal oil no sythentic just wasting your money but if u use it already stick too it i found that switching oil all the time ur asking to blow your motor ive blown plenty if you have any more questions ask away
