Hey guys,
My Honda Pilot's windshield (the cockpit side) has this really thin film of grease or something... I didn't do anything bad, like I didn't spill anything. I think everyone has this thin film, but my buildup is kinda visible at night, when the streetlights shine through and diffuse through the grease... does anyone know a good cleaning product, I tried Windex, but that's for household purposes... not automotive applications.

Best window cleaner ever- 1 gallon hot water mix in 1 cup white vinegar and 2 tablespoons lemon joy dish soap. Use soft cloth and squeege to wipe off.

I've used Windex for decades and never had a problem, so that is safe.

The best thing I've found is to use vinegar water and newspapers to clean it off. It does excellent.

To cut the grease and film, believe it or not, is to use toothpaste. Just a regular white toothpaste, and a brush, works super. It doesn't hurt the glass either.

Windex isn't just for household use, but if it didn't work, try vinegar/water and newspaper.

There are also products in the automotive aisle just for car windows. Or stop in at the nearest car wash and pick up some windshield wipes.

The crud comes from the upholstery and other plastic products in the car. I used to use Glass Wax to get it off, but have not seen any on the market for quite some time. Check with an auto supply store for useful proprietary products for this.

What you have building up on your inside glass is the plastic decaying (believe it or not) use oderless mineral spirits and in the shade where the glass is cool either wipe it on or try spraying it on and this will cut the film off
