Knocking noise is usually associated to engine knocking.

I have a similar experience when I owned a Toyota Celica. I was turning round a corner at a traffic light. I wasn't familiar with power steering. I oversteered and hit the curb really hard. I had a burst tyre, dented suspension, and bent steering rod.

I now own a Nissan Sunny. Yay!! It is an typical carburator engine automobile :-)

I assume your spare tyre is the same type and size of the replaced tyre, not one of the small comical spare tyres.

One test you could do is to raise up the wheel, hold the wheel on left and right side, and shake. If it shakes much, it may means damage to ball joint, tie rod, or bearing has loosen.
Another test also involve raising the wheel, hold the wheel on top and bottom, and shake. If it shakes much, it means damage to ball joint, or bearing.
My mechanic also hinted you may have wrap the brake disc, or brake pad. Which explains squeaking.

I suggest visit your local mechanic. Least the drive shaft pops out, like my girlfriend's car. For a visual touch-feel inspection ;-)

Drive slowly, be safe, my friend.

Im assuming you hit the front tire. It could be several things. the shaking is probably caused by alignment. the squealing could be a damaged wheel bearing. The knocking sound is what worries me. If the car is front wheel drive it could be an axle, tie rod, damage to the brake caliper. Is the spare good, it could have a broken belt , If i were you, I would have it checked by a reputable mechanic asap.

You may have damaged a U-joint or half axel link. You may have bent a wheel or broken a brake rotor. Is this a front wheel or rear wheel drive NISSAN? Check for anything bent or broken. You may have to try this while the car is on a lift.

Serious answer - take it to a garage and have it looked at - you could have damaged the wishbone, anti roll bars, any number of joints, bearings, steering rack or driveshaft.

Second serious point - stop messing about when you are driving - consider the fact that by being a prat you could have knocked a child over!

Had this on my car recently, I was thinking it was really bad news but it turned out to be the wishbone and the anti-roll bar drop link. Most of the noise was because of the drop link.

Don't risk going on the roads if you hear noises. Seriously! Have it checked in a workshop.
My guess would be the suspension.

Please be safe and consider about the safety of other road users too.

Act soon.

Sounds like you have bent the drive shaft. You need to get to a garage asap before it fails when you are driving.

In everyone's car is a magic car fairy. The magic car fairy is there to inform you when something is wrong with your car. If you hear a knocking noise, it is the magic car fairy trying to get your attention to tell you there is something wrong.

P.S.- this is serious! there really is a magic car fairy, he has green hair and a Pittsburgh accent.
