Is it possible to get a co-signer who is a resident?

Probably not, the lender will want to run a credit check on you. If you have a co-signer, they need to have a good credit rating, and have enough income to cover the debt, in case you don't pay. They too, need to provide a social security number.

My guess is that you are not a citizen of the US and are trying to get a loan. A co-signer is always possible as long as the co-signer has a good credit rating. All the dealer is interested in is getting his money out of the car. Other than that, he could care less. good luck

The only way is for another person (the would be co-signer) to purchase the car for you (if there credit permits). This is called a Staw Purcahse and is illegal.

the one thing i know for sure that you do need is a social security card and number,this is a must when getting any kind of a loan good luck.

NOPE... YOu need to have some sort of credit history.. Even if its no credit... the only way to check is your SS.. So get out and get one...
