my view of the gas out was this; you dont buy gas yesterday so in order to be prepared for a day without buying gas, you either went the day before, or the day after, therefore doubling sales on those days. really didnt hurt anyone did it? face it people, we have to buy gas.

I am not sure what the one day boycott is going to accomplish. You suppose NO ONE needs gas today and those who don't go today won't go tomorrow? Shifting when you buy gas from one day to another is rearranging deck chairs on the Titanic - it doesn't do any good.
A solid plan of action would be one which can sustain. Alternative fuels is only the first step to a very long and far reaching problem with our environment and pocketbooks.

Well Gary let me tell you something you might not know
PEOPLE ARE STUPID
Like one day of not buying gas is going to make a difference. What people need to do is quit buying big cars and go with the prius, corolla, civic etc. What I don't get is why people who drive big cars are saying they want to boycott the gas stations. What they need to do is sell their car and get a fuel effecient one

Actually, we just got word a minute or two ago that gas prices are going to rise $0.30 per gallon in just about an hour. It looks like the oil companies are starting to retaliate. The politicians need to do their job and really bring the hammer down HARD on them.
