was about a foot away from the intersection when the light changed from green to yellow and i proceeded trying to make the light when another car making a left also trying to make the light rammed into my van. My van was badly crushed on the left front hood. A witness who apparently was biased ( the person who crashed into my car and the witness were chatting waiting for the cop to arrive). After the officer arrived (in about 15 minutes) I was asked for my license and registration and was served with red light violation citation ? I am 100% positive that the light was not red when I crossed the intersection. The police officer was not present when the accident happened, he did not ask me my version of as to what had happened ? I was given an unfair citation based on the witness's account who probably sympathized with the guy who hit me ?
What should I do ? Shouldn't the officer ask me my side of the story ? If I was crossing the intersection at yellow, I still had the right of way , the person who hit me was also trying to make the light, was trying to make a left.
Should I get an attorney? I have a clean record.

I got a ticket from a police officer last night because he said I came dangerously close to hitting a pedestrian in a crosswalk. However, I didn't see the pedestrian because it was dark outside, and while they could definitely see my Hummer H2, I couldn't see him. Also there are a lot of crosswalks out there, so how do I always know when there's a pedestrian in one? So why wasn't the pedestrian yielding for me? It should also be their fault for not driving.

Also, does anyone know any legal recourse for this ticket, and can I sue the parents of the person I almost hit (I got the person's information, but I don't know if I can sue them because they are only 14, it is the parents, right?)

using the turning left signal today the speedomitor dropped up and down. Plus the engine stalls every once and a while at 55mph and turns back on by its self.

I brought it to Autozone today and got the codes P1457
meaning Purge Solenoid valve Low system Malfunction?

and a code P0420 Catalyst efficiency low- bank 1?

What should I do?

What has others done with same problem?

The seat can still go forward and backward but the back part of the dosent move at all I can still hear the motor when I push the button but it's not moving.

We have a '94 Ford Tempo and my husband lets it warm up sometimes for up to 10 minutes (even on warm days, etc.). I think this is too long making it idle. What is the standard warm up time for an older car?

I'm selling one of my bikes and came up with the brilliant(?) idea of filming it and including a link to the video in my ads.

Because I'm running an aftermarket exhaust, I thought it would be nice for potential buyers to be able to HEAR it in addition to seeing it.

What do you think of that idea? If you were looking for a particular type of bike and found an ad like that, would it be helpful to you?

I don't have a suspended license but me and my friend were arguing the other day about this. If you for whatever reason were to have your license in jeopardy of being suspended, or already suspended, would the DMV notify you beforehand to let you know it is going to be suspended or would they just do it without notifying you now? My friend, who is an idiot by the way, told me that it can be suspended for a year before they have to notify you.
This all started when a friend of ours didn't turn in some minor traffic incident form. It was nothing major like a wreck report, but something that said if he didn't turn it in, it may result in the suspension of his license. He drives around now worried if he gets pulled or in a wreck, he'll get arrested for driving under suspension because of what my other friend told him.
If anyone could help me out on this one, I'd love it.

A tree fell on my truck. The damage consists of a cracked windshield and a few dents/scratches on the top of the truck, hood, etc. This vehicle is my commuter, and I only plan on keeping it for another year, although it is quite reliable. If I make an insurance claim they will likely total the vehicle.
Is it possible to get a claim (even if it totals the vehicle), take the cash, and keep the totaled vehicle?

When we take it to the mechanic says that there is a wire coupling the is connected the the fuel tank at the front passenger floor board. I have detached the wire and reatached it also hehitting the reset button but it wont start. Since the car never seems to have a problem at the shop he says he cant fix it. This has happened while driving, in the parkinglot at a store and in my driveway after driving with no problems. Has anyone ever experienced this problem and if you have how did you fix it? I am tired for having my car towed to the mechanics and the car working when it gets there.

When I say off and on, it is mostly on, but at times goes off on its own and then after a restart comes back on. I have had it tested with the code reader and they can not communicate with the air bag module under the passenger seat and when the light is off, they can, but no error codes. Also, I have noticed moisture on that sides carpet, and there is a forum on the wet carpet on here, do you suppose that the moisture is causing a short circuit? Has any one had this same problem an know for sure if it is because of the wet carpet causing the module to short circuit under the passenger seat? I also was researching a recall on a cracked module casing under passenger seat, allowing moisture in..but GM says it does not apply to my VIN number, I dont buy that. Help! Thanks!

I had the service engine light code tested and they siad it was due to the gas cap, I replaced the gas cap and the light when off on its own, then a week later came back on, so I had it tested again and again was the gas cap. Also, we seem to notice it only happens when I fuel the car up half way...any one have the same problem or know what they did to correct this? Thanks!

Someone, and I don't know who, put more transmission fluid in my car then I needed. Now my car will switch gears, but slowly. I was told by CarX that I needed a whole new transmission, but this man told me that it could just be a transmission sensor. I was in a car accendent and was hit on the passenger rear side. I had my car fixed (which took two weeks) but when I picked it up and drove it it shook when I pressed on the breaks. I did not have this problem before the accident. So I brought it back to the mechanic. He tells me the drum was put on backwards. Is this even possible? What other possibilities would make the car to shake? *Caviler-2004*
