We owned a 2004 LE Crew Cab Off Road but it was destroyed in a tornado in KY in 2006 not far from the KY, Tennesee border.
Anyway, we are getting a new one this spring. I said it was crushed but only the nose and you could still tell it was a Titan. It was silver with towing mirrors. It was towing our 36 ft camper to Florida for Spring Break.

Having to buy a pick-up truck and have become interested in Chevy and GMC, possibly a new one.
Could someone tell me about the reliability of the 4.3 liter GM engine. Is it known to have "many" problems.?? Is it a durable, dependable engine??
Thank You for your replys.

I am trying to get my used car dealer license. I have never been to a car auction before. Normally, how much $$ below retail can you buy cars at an auction? Let's say good condition 10 year old Honda or Toyota or Nissan - How much can you buy them for?

I am interested in using bio-deisel fuel instead of gasoline. The hardest part seems to be finding a diesel - engine car to buy. I dont want a truck, but we cant make due with a small car either. Would Canada have better options? I live in NY

Well, My 1998 Ford Mustang (V6 & Automatic) is on the Fritz, Basically, the little panel that tells me what gear the car is in (Park, Drive, Reverse, 1st, and 2nd) is for some reason NOT lighting up anymore. So basically when I drive at night I have to turn on the light inside the car so that I can see what I am doing. I am nearly positive that this problem is relatively easy to fix, but I need advice on where to start and what to look for. I dont think it is a fuse problem because the majority of them are brand new... but I guess nothing is beyond the realm of possibility...

after sitting for a while, I took it to a transmission place and all the gears were working, he said the problem might have "fixed itself" so I kept driving, and the engine light went off. So a few days ago it comes back on and the same problem happens. I hit the gas my RPM's just shoot up through the roof. and the gears dont switch. after I let it sit for a while I'm able to drive it home, with all gears, light still on. Any ideas? Could it be electrical instead of the transmission? Thanks.

I'm considering buying a used Sebring convertible -middle age crisis -and the last Chryler product I owned was my Fury III so I'm kind of out of the loop.
What are the things that die prematurely and what were the bad years for sebrings if any - thanks

SRS light came on few days after rear collision. Because of the impact I had to replace rear bumper cover, tail lights and tinker other parts around the boot.

Can the SRS light be because of this collision? If so how do I prove that to insurance. Accident happened 4 months back and at that time the mechanica who did the repair said it can not be because of rear collision.

Now honda dealer says it is because of accident. Will the dealer give me any documentation to make claim against that accident?

Thanks in advance.

I honestly would like to know! I was a little annoyed today while driving down the M6 to see so many lorries hogging the lanes - they may have been overtaking another slower lorry in the slow lane but come on - they weren't really going all that much faster! All it did was force other (faster) drivers to have to cram into one lane to get by. This makes me wonder if lorries are the cause of a lot of traffic jams....

Our car was in the shop for repairs because it would crank but not start. The shop could not fix it. They said it was a computer problem and would have to be taken to a dealer for repairs. The dealer said it was the crankshaft position sensor, and that when they change it they have to change the sparkplugs at the same time. This would be $348.72 for the sensor and $149.95 for the plugs that includes a motor tuneup. Then, they said the belts have cracks, which would be $199.00, and a fuel system tuneup for $89.00.
My husband usually does work on our car, but he has been working alot of overtime, and doesn't have all the spare time to work on it. He would rather do without the charge for the belts and do them himself, but hasn't done that to an intrepid before. Does anyone know how hard it would be to replace the belts, to save us on the car repair bill?
