I would like to know all the info before buying a car. The car that I buy will be around $5,000Can. I live in Toronto, Canada so insurance here is more expensive than in US.

If you want to buy a high quality car with a lowest price for the most reliable,I suggest you try auto auctions.
There are there kinds of car auctions.
Dealer only auctions --- only licensed dealers are allowed to buy or sell cars,You can not get in or bid without being a licensed car dealer or an employee.
Public auctions --- the public is allowed in.In fact,you usually cant by anything from public 'open' auctions because usually the pricing is too high.
Government and Police auctions --- Every day, the government confiscates, seizes and repossesses thousands of Vehicles.These vehicles are usually typically listed at 90% OFF their original value and auctions usually start at $100.
Two months ago,I bouht a near new SUV from online police auction.It only cost me $730 and i have not had one problem with it yet .

Take the car to a trusted mechanic and have him look it over and let you know if there is anything wrong with it. Make sure you understand the total amount of the cost. Like the finance rate and the amount of interest you will pay. You can call the insurance company, and they will give you a quote for the cost of the insurance. You will also have to pay taxes and licensing fees. good luck.

WOW!!! In Toronto you can buy good car for 5000$??? In Russia for this money i can get a very-very old dead car... BUT!!! For buy a car take a cheet of paper and write what you exactly want! Then determine car what you want to buy. And then buy a newspaper with a declaration(is it right into eng???) of sellers of used cars! My advice: go for a buy with a man, who knows cars very well! And you will buy exactly what you want.
