after sitting for a while, I took it to a transmission place and all the gears were working, he said the problem might have "fixed itself" so I kept driving, and the engine light went off. So a few days ago it comes back on and the same problem happens. I hit the gas my RPM's just shoot up through the roof. and the gears dont switch. after I let it sit for a while I'm able to drive it home, with all gears, light still on. Any ideas? Could it be electrical instead of the transmission? Thanks.
