no thats why they are called maintenance free. once they no longer hold a charge or can be charged then they are replaced.

If it has removable caps and you want the battery to last longer, then after the battery is 1 year old, pry the caps off with a screwdriver and add distilled water until you see the "eye" pattern form in the fill tube.

if your battery has caps that can be removed and the water level is low you do need to add water distilled water only.

if it has vent covers and it does not say do not remove covers then yes. If it says do not remove covers then no. And if it has no vent covers then obviously you have no way to add water.

most likely not, cuz the old ones required water but the newer ones are sealed.
