I had a quick question about driving:
I often drive in neutral when going down hills to save petrol, I overheard someone saying that rather than putting the car in neutral they held the clutch down - this has the same effect because it disconnects the gears from the engine (something like that), but does it damage the clutch? Is there anything bad about keeping your clutch all the way down aside from lack of engine braking?

I asked my friend to teach me how to drive a stick and he agreed but he warned me that a Cobra is not a good car to learn how to drive a stick because it's harder to drive than most manual cars. Is that true or is he just full of sh*t?

I know that he loves his baby and he went on about how this is a limited edition....etc...

The reason I ask this is because I had a so-called "sports car" for almost 6 years and I totally hated it like you couldn't imagine. Before I took it to the junkyard, I called and asked if I could mash it up to my heart's desire and someone there said "Yes." But when I got there, the general manager of the place told me I couldn't. He apologized that someone there lied to me. I really wanted to smash up that car with pipes and sledgehammers all over before having it turned into scrap metal, but my dream of getting to do that for the past 3 years of wanting to do it got crushed.

So, if anyone around here has a 6-cylinder sports car that's taking it to the junkyard, I would really love it if you'd let me have my jollies with it since my car was crushed and melted down and I would really like to pretend your old car is my car I never got to mash up.

It was a 1998 white 6-cylinder Camaro with a bad 20 MPG and NO power features that I spend ALL of my hard-earned $11,000 on.

Would you place a sticker on your teen's car with the slogan "How's My Driving?'' The sticker has a toll-free number so other drivers can report your teen's unsafe driving behaviors.

I'm new to the Mustang thing, but the 8 cylinder seems a bit underpowered at just 215hp. There's got to be an easy and quick way of unlocking a lot of horsepower on this monster motor. Any suggestions?

Someone borrowed my car (2002 VW Golf) last night.

They went to a small sports hall in our town which has an "awkward" car park at the back. A twisting run of narrow road, leading to a turn.. with concrete posts on either side and just 3 inches of clearance for your car to fit through. Also its very dark there at night with no lighting.

On her way home she went in to the space between the posts, and turned out, but misjudged it a little. So dark so she couldn't see anything in her wingmirrors behind her to judge the turn and she scraped the back passenger side arch down one of the concrete posts. Its taken big sections of the paint off down the arch. :(

I think Body Shops cost alot as they remove and do the whole wing.

Would anyone know if its possible for a person to make a decent DIY repair for this kind of damage ? And if so.. any ideas of the best way to go about it?

Okay, i just bought a car off some friends, and they screwed me over royally, the first thing my mom ever told me was never buy a car from friends because it could end a friendship. I know this now and i shouldve listened but i didnt. Anyways, it doesnt leak or anything, but when i start it the wheel barely turns, but after a while it will be normal, unless im trying to turn slowly, like on the highway when there is a curve, its all good, but when im turning onto a street its really hard. Now, i know there are other factors in why its hard to turn going slowly, because i believe a fuel injector is bad and whenever i stop or slow down i have to throw it in neutral and keep my foot on the gas. but im no mechanic, it might not be. its a 99 eclipse, i dont know if that makes a difference or not. how much would i cost to replace if thats it? <3 thanks for your answers in advance.
P.S. i dont need to hear about how crappy eclipses are, or that i shouldnt have bought it from friends, i know
