Would you place a sticker on your teen's car with the slogan "How's My Driving?'' The sticker has a toll-free number so other drivers can report your teen's unsafe driving behaviors.

Excellent idea. I have two daughters 14 & 15 not yet driving, but I'd stick ten of those stickers on their car!

Yes, but only after you have seen unsafe behavior. My daughter was a very good driver with me and at least as she drove away from the house. She did get a speeding ticket, not large, just that she sped up before she reached the higher limit sign, and that taught her to be more careful. So, I never bought the sticker. But, I told her it was an option. She is now 23 and still drives well.

In a New York minute! My kids had to drive 500 miles with us before they were allowed to solo, and that was invaluable, because there are so many gaps left by driver's training. They hated that, but I'm so glad I did it - each kid has only had 1 minor fender bender, and they are 27 and 32.

No, the trauma you would cause them in their social lives would not be worth the leash.
