My car is a Mitsubishi Galant 89 model.
Recently it decided not to start up and killing all power with it when attempting to startup meaning not even the clock works. I have checked all the fuses and have found none blown. I have attempted to jump start the car but it still refuses to start killing all power when attempting to start the engine, there is also sparks from the battery terminal in the car. So next I tried disconnecting the battery in the car and jump starting without the car's battery. I can hear clicking now, but still cant get the car cranking up. There seems to be a blackout power drain for a split second when trying to start. I guess the clicking means my solenoids are working, battery not connected means the battery is not at fault.
Does all this isolate it down to the alternator or starter?
How do I test for these?
Thanks

I'm having no luck trying to find a cable with identical ends: male 3.5mm RIGHT ANGLED stereo jack (same type you see on many earbud headphones).

I need it for my aux input on my car stereo to my XM Radio (Roady XT). A regular straight stereo jack on my car stereo's end would stick - getting in the way of any cups placed in my cupholder; making the cupholder absolutely useless. So only a dual right-angled jack will do the trick and at the other end, would help hide the wire-clutter on my XM Radio's end.

I have so far found a cable with ONE end right angled, the other end straight - as an aux cable that comes with the "Dual iPlug" (search for "Dual iPlug"). I would also end up wasting the actual iPlug itself; and still, I'm only getting 50% of what I'm looking for.

Anyone have any ideas where I can find this illusive cable?

I have 2 dual voice coil MTX T5512-44 12" subs (4ohm each). Along with that, I also bought 1 MTX mono block Thunder 5601 amp (2 or 4 ohm stable).

Now, for my question....

The subs are both 300RMS, 4 ohms each. The amp is 300 watts x 1 @ 4 ohms / 600 watts x 1 @ 2 ohms.

What I am lost on is since this is not a single coil sub will it still work with this setup? If so, how would I need to wire it.

Thanks

Have an '02 Dyna with aftermarket wheels and rotors. Have had 3 new rotors on the front wheel. Manufacturer has been real good about standing behind its product. sited a chrome process inperfection causing a high point on the hub. About a year later the warping shows up again. Another new rotor. And now both front and back rotors are warped. I figure it time to get a refund. But I am in need of a solution or a helpful answer. Could there be a flaw in the hubs again? Or??

Say "Happy Birthday" to your Mustang !

(on this day in History)

The '64½ Mustang introduced at the New York World's Fair in April by Ford Motor Company is a sporty, rear-drive compact that is essentially a Falcon with different exterior sheet metal (see 1959). Priced at $2,368 (power steering is $80 extra), it will be wildly successful (various models will be introduced and some 7 million of the "pony cars" will be sold in the next 35 years).

Tell me about your "pony car"

am moving to Salt Lake City soon, and am getting a new car. I will be commuting to work every day in Park City, which is up the mountain and potentially very snowy. Do I need an all wheel drive vehicle, or will front wheel drive suffice? Even if front wheel drive suffices, would all wheel drive be preferable?
