There is No Way to Renew an International Driving License , cause it is Always valid for not more than 12 Months and in India the transport Authority would n"t even renew that for you now. So if you want to drive in UK , you have to go through all the Procedure i.e First of all you need to Make a Learners Driving License then Pass Your Theory Test and Then Appear in Practical Test if You Pass that You Will be able and allowed to drive here .
Best of Luck for That. ;)

Firstly there is no such thing as an international driving licence. What you probably have is an international driving permit.
You can drive on that permit or your indian licence for the first 12 months that you enter the UK.
DVLA will not exchange an Indian Driving Licence. If you want to continue to drive in the uk you will need to apply for a UK provisional driving licence and take the theroy and practical test in the UK.
In order to apply for the provisional licence you will need a D1 application form, one passport size colour photo, passport and £38 (or £45 from 01/05/07).
If you have not been in the UK for 2 years or more you will have to visit a local DVLA office to have your photograph authenticated. The D1 from the postoffice will have an INF1D with it which will tell you your nearest local office.

You cannot as far the UK is concerned.
You need to take a driving test. Visit the DVLA website which will give you full details.
Anyone resident in the UK who has a driving licence issued in another country may drive for up to 12 months in the UK after which they are required by law to take a UK test.
There are slight variations to this but they are detailed on DVLA website.

International driving license only is valid for 6 months...as you live in UK, it is your duty to apply for UK driving license....If you are a temporary student or a temporary worker or a visitor to UK, it is understandable for you to use your international driving license....but you live in UK, you shld apply a proper UK driving license...
Did you know tht if they (the cops) found out tht you have been in the nation for more than 6 months and still using an International Driving license, you will be issued a ticket for not following the stated laws??

You're only allowed 12 months anyway. That's on a valid foreign driving licence, the international one is just a translation of your Indian one.
You now have to get a GB provisional licence and take the tests.

You need to have your International licence renewed in India.
Only other option is to get UK licence. That might mean retaking your test.

No you could stress on your indian license for as much as a million twelve months, thereafter you will would desire to take an english one. If its expired throughout the time of the only twelve months of permission, India is the only place you could reniew it.
