The dealer has said that the bushings in the upper control arms for a 2002 Jeep Liberty are not serviceable and new control arms must be purchased instead. They are apparently sealed into the arms somehow. Can anyone show me documentation otherwise? Please help.

I was driving home and the engine just died. It didn't seize or make any funny noises before it died. I have replaced the coil and the SBEC, and it still won't work. I have also checked the fuel filter, and that is not the problem either. It isn't the battery either. I have no idea what to try next. Any suggestions would be amazing. Thanks.

The fuel gauge on my 2001 deville dhs was bouncing around for a few days and now just shows full all the time.

I know generally its caused by the fuel tank sending unit, but i noticed when I went to order this part that there was another part called the "Fuel Level Sensor" for 100+ dollars.

Can someone explain the difference from these two? I thought the fuel tank sending unit (under ten dollars) was what told the gauge how much gas you had left...

Thanks.

About how much would it cost to get all new shocks and struts on a 2000 Oldsmobile Alero?

And how do I know if I actually need them?

I've had the car for 2 and half years, and they haven't been changed since. I'm not sure when the previous owner had them changed either.

There's about 65000 miles on my car.

I have read that putting a couple of ounces of acetone into my gas tank with every ten gallons can significantly increase my gas mileage and lower my hydrocarbon emissions. (http://pesn.com/2005/03/17/6900069_Acetone/)
However, my car is a 2000 Chevy Metro (the four-cylinder, four-door version), which I know is a rather cheaply-made car. Would it be safe for me to put in the acetone?

Hey,
the car got a leak on the inside, i believe its coming from the water tank the radiator uses. it is some how leaking into the footwell on the passanger side. its not the window wash bottle. there is no leak on the outside. it also smells inside the car abit like a metal smell. could be anti freeze but not sure. the colour is brown rusty colour that staining the footwell. when i got the car i cleaned out the old radiator water which was the same colour and flushed it tho with more water. it held the water before but now its slowly going down.

there no leak on outside of car or in the engine department.. it is only on the inside passenger side of car.

it was abit damp yesterday but all of a sudden today a hissing noise like gas escaping i could hear from inside the car only. no noise on outside or engine. even when engine off it is hissing. sounds like it coming from the vents by the front window but not sure.

if any1 can tell me what is wrong?
its a Renault Laguna 2.2 96 Dsl

I was driving my boyfriends truck to go to work and I unfortunatly ran head on into someone. Its a long story it was an accident and thank god everyone was okay. However my boyfriend lied to me and had said he had full coverage insurance - what happens now? He had insurance, just not full coverage. Will I be covered? would it matter if everyone else in the house I was living in has full coverage insurance? they told me that their insurance would cover it but it wasn't their car and i'm not related to them so how can that be??

The Honda Accords '97-2000 notariously have transmission problems, which my daughter did not know when she purchased her '99 Accord from someone 1 1/2 years ago. She's had trouble with the car over the past year; they told her it was because of the way it had been driven and it had to adjust to her manner of driving. ?? She's put enough money into the starter and other suggestions that never solved her complaints. Now she's being told she needs a new transmission. Is she better off to just get rid of the car and try to buy another used car, or replace the transmission and keep the car? She doesn't have the money for either, but we'll help her out as best we can. Not sure how many miles she has on the car, will add that as soon as she emails me back.
Thanks for any professional opinions.

I suppose there is a noise from wheel to alert if a brake is needed to replace. So, if no noise is heard, the brake is no need to replace? My car has been driven for 47000 miles without replace the front brakes. Is it normal?
