Hey,
the car got a leak on the inside, i believe its coming from the water tank the radiator uses. it is some how leaking into the footwell on the passanger side. its not the window wash bottle. there is no leak on the outside. it also smells inside the car abit like a metal smell. could be anti freeze but not sure. the colour is brown rusty colour that staining the footwell. when i got the car i cleaned out the old radiator water which was the same colour and flushed it tho with more water. it held the water before but now its slowly going down.

there no leak on outside of car or in the engine department.. it is only on the inside passenger side of car.

it was abit damp yesterday but all of a sudden today a hissing noise like gas escaping i could hear from inside the car only. no noise on outside or engine. even when engine off it is hissing. sounds like it coming from the vents by the front window but not sure.

if any1 can tell me what is wrong?
its a Renault Laguna 2.2 96 Dsl

Heater matrix is leaking. Get a replacement. If anyone suggests bye passing with a hose then remember the matrix also directs heat to the windscreen. OK in summer but a major problem in the winter.

it is your heater matrix it is a small radiator situated inside your car it is used to heat the car aided by the fan it is connected to the engine by two rubber hoses which are accesed under the bonnet in the worse case scenario you will have to remove dash to replace it most times though it is a case of undoing hoses and some of the centre console(lower part)to acess bolts which hold it in place then replace with new or second hond part (from breakers) it is not advised that you do long trips without replacing it as you will lose all water from your engine and will end up overheating it possibly even siezing the engine i hope this is of use to you

Definately the heater core. A quick "get you home" fix is to bridge the two hoses together, but you will lose all demisting etc. Start hunting for a replacement while you have the chance. The actual core is quite cheap, fitting it is a pain!

sounds like the heater matrix leaking, if you want to stop the leak undo both the hoses from the matrix and join them together with a piece of copper pipe.

it is the heater core and i would bet that it fogs up the inside of the windsheild when you turn on the defrost you might be able to just disconect the hose from where it goes through the firewall and put a piece of pipe in to connect the 2 hoses with some pipe clamps

Sounds like a ruptured heater core. To put it plainly, it is a mini radiator that lives inside your dashboard and circulates coolant for your heater.
However, its a Renault. It could be anything.

i could start up with ask your self absorbers or struts, counting on your motor vehicle. in the journey that your motor vehicle has extra beneficial than 60-seventy 5,000 miles this could be a solid beginning element. Shocks and strut overall performance starts off to circulate to pot after this mileage.
