I had a 1998 cavalier and the dealer said every 100,000 miles. These are a new kind of spark plug not like the old days where you changed them often.

Its not nesessary to change spark plugs if the car is running ok. If the car is playing up i.e. not picking up speed when you accelerate, or is running like a bears bum. then it might be time to change them. hope this helps

With regular copper plugs: up to 30,000 miles
With platinum plugs: up to 55,000 miles
I recommend the factory-recommended AC Delco brand. (not from personal experience, but from what I have read)
AC Delco parts retailers:

AC Delco-supplied repair shops:

generally unless the car is running like crap you only have to do a tune up every 100,000 miles.
