I was driving my boyfriends truck to go to work and I unfortunatly ran head on into someone. Its a long story it was an accident and thank god everyone was okay. However my boyfriend lied to me and had said he had full coverage insurance - what happens now? He had insurance, just not full coverage. Will I be covered? would it matter if everyone else in the house I was living in has full coverage insurance? they told me that their insurance would cover it but it wasn't their car and i'm not related to them so how can that be??

Your BFs insurance will pay for the other party's damages since the coverage follows the vehicle and anyone driving his vehicle with his permission is insured. Since he chose NOT to buy collision coverage on his vehicle, there is no coverage for his truck. What in essence he did was to "self" insure any damage that happens to his own vehicle. He also chose to let you drive his vehicle, so he took on your liability (saying he will be responsible for any damage you do). So, in a nutshell, his insurance will pay for the other party's damage, up to his liability limits (if their damage exceeds his limits, he has to pay out of pocket) and he will have to pay for the damage to his truck. You may pay for his truck damage out of your pocket, that would be the right thing to do since you caused the damage, but that would be between you & him.

If I understand this right. Your boy friend only had liability and he loaned you his truck. You got in a wreck, his insurance will pay for the other car, but nothing on his truck. Do you have any insurance on your car?

Just because they had insurance, what has that got to do with you? You are really just a guest in the house, or you are a tenant. I would guess, BF will have to come up with the money to fix his own truck. Good luck

Well insurance follows vehicles, so under the liability coverage of the car you were driving, there is coverage for the damages to the other vehicle. If there is no collision coverage on the vehicle you were driving for the damages to it, that's it. It's not likely that the collision coverage of any vehicle in your household will pick up from there.

You had permission from your BF to drive his truck. So his liability would cover damages to other persons veh. No coverage for his veh. Now if you have coll on your own veh, then maybe your insurance will cover damages to his veh, but highly unlikely. If his liability limits are not enough to cover damages which they should be cause u said there were no injuries, then other partys insurance could possibly come after you for damages. But it sounds like his liability will cover damages to other persons veh, and he is gonna be pissed at you for awhile..

First complication approximately your dad and the rest will artwork it self out!! there is not any longer something you're able to do to alter what has handed off and in basic terms enable issues run that's direction.. He might face some stuff down the line yet authentic now complication approximately him and his well-being and not expenses for its too previous due too complication approximately too plenty. coverage incorporates a 1000.00 positive optimal and a million twelve months in penal complex yet thats the optimal and it feels like he's paying a especially hefty value for his movements already

There is no coverage to repair his vehicle. As for liability if you were driving it with permission you should be okay. If you have your own auto policy with collision submit the claim to them for the repairs to the truck.

When you lend your car you lend your insurance with it. So if you get into an accident and it's your fault, the claim goes against the owner of the car. If he car isn't insured it shouldn't be driven

I think that his insurance is going to have pay for the car you hit. As for you, you re not covered and his car is not covered.
